Feb 11th 2011 4:06PM Class system for sure, if not for some rigidity everyone would run around with the same abilities and it wouldn't be any fun...however being too rigid creates problems where group play isn't fluid. RIFT has a good idea allowing you to create your own class within the standard class system but may offer too much choice given that there are so many talents to chose from and not too much insight as to how they work with the other souls.
Feb 11th 2011 1:43PM I don't think it's anything bad to be compared to WoW. I've defended WoW many times as a great MMO despite it's graphics (which was the only area I was upset about and that most people argued about) and this game takes pointers from WoW, and apparently other MMO's, and brings them together to make something that works. I played the Beta and so far it looks like they're going back before WoW was "accessible" to everyone (which I took as them making it easier) and making you work. This game is what I'd imagine WoW 2 would be like, a update to graphics, gameplay and all around feel. One thing WoW had for it was a rich story and though I haven't gone into depths with Rift's story but it looks promising so far.
Feb 4th 2011 12:41PM My Favorite so far has to be the series of events in Vashij'ir by far! I know some people have complained that its so linear but I love the fact that you can see how what your doing is making an impact on the area! Gathering weapons for the fighters, pushing into Naga territory then having to retreat from said territory, then to culminate in that epic battle which leads directly into what your doing in the dungeon was awesome!
