European newspaper publishers unhappy with Apple's publication requirements {TUAW.com}

Feb 7th 2011 5:49PM Yes, and let Apple be in charge of publishing the news? Good move...

TUAW Poll: Will you buy the Verizon iPhone? {TUAW.com}

Jan 11th 2011 12:44PM I live in a part of the world that doesn't use CDMA (aka most of the rest of the world), so no. :)

Five reasons why Apple TV is still just a hobby {TUAW.com}

Oct 9th 2010 12:38PM I live in the UK, and my biggest problem, and the reason why I won't be investing in an AppleTV, is that it doesn't support things like the BBC iPlayer or 4oD. They're services much like Hulu, where you can "catch up" on TV from about a week past. All the major TV providers (Sky, Virigin, etc.) all offer access to these services from our normal TV boxes, so why should I invest in the AppleTV, which doesn't even offer these services. As much as I like Apple, sometimes people outside of the USA really do get the short end of the stick...

Rumor: Apple has a CDMA iPhone ready for Verizon {TUAW.com}

Jul 2nd 2010 1:04PM Whether or not there'll be a CDMA iPhone, I don't know, but I can pretty much guarantee that there'll never be a CDMA-only iPhone. Aside from the US and China (and probably a few other places), CDMA isn't used. At all. GSM is the standard that the vast majority of the world uses, and Apple would never leave those markets by ONLY using technology they can't use. So, for me sitting here in the UK, this discussion has no relevance. But multiple carriers would be a plus, I'll say that much.

Lonely Planet giving away free iPhone guides in honor of Eyjafjallajökull messing with Europe {TUAW.com}

Apr 19th 2010 6:52PM They're free for me, also on the UK store. Snapped them all up!

Mourning for China {WoW}

May 19th 2008 7:00PM Why can't people just put aside politics for a few days and instead focus on the real tradgedy here: the thousands and thousands of people who have died?

More migrations for Europe {WoW}

Apr 9th 2008 4:17PM "This is undoubtedly a stupid question, but ... Do EU Realms feature the same distinctions (PvP, PvE, RP, RP-PvP) that American Realms feature?"

Yes they do. EU realms are divided into English, German, French and Spanish groups, with a Russian one coming soon. All languages have all four types of realms, but from what I've heard, Russian realms, at least when the launch, will not have RP and RPPvP realms.

As for the original question, I'm a Swede living in Sweden, but I will be moving to England this fall to attend University.

Breakfast Topic: The perfect group {WoW}

Jan 3rd 2008 9:18AM I usually have one of the following group setups (I almost exclusively PvE with my guild, so it's more or less the same all the time):

Option 1, the most common one:
Feral Druid (Tank)
Fire Mage (DPS, CC)
Arcane Mage (DPS, CC, yours truly)
Balance Druid (DPS, emergency heal/tank)
Restoration Shaman (Heal)

Option 2:
Protection Warrior (Tank)
Fire Mage (DPS, CC)
Arcane Mage (DPS, CC)
Shadow Priest (DPS, emergency heal)
Restoration Druid (Heal)

or, lastly, and least commonly, Option 3:
Feral Druid (Tank)
Fire Mage (DPS, CC)
Fire Mage (DPS, CC)
Arcane Mage (DPS, CC)
Restoration Druid (Heal)

Dec 5th 2007 1:53PM Not being Norwegian, I wouldn't know if the paper is trustworth or not, but from surfing around on it for a bit, it seems to be fairly alright. I hardly doubt that the paper made the story up, if you put it that way. Oh, and if anyone is wondering how I can know that from not being Norwegian, I'm Swedish, so I understand enough Norwegian to be able to read it...
