What's the difference between a 32- and 64-bit client? {WoW}

Jan 12th 2012 12:49AM Caching happens on 32 bit OSes there's just a lot more of it if you have more RAM.

Also, with the right hardware and 32 bit OS (Linux, some others) you can use more than 4 GB RAM total, although it remains the per application limit. However, as I understand some versions of Windows keep the limit at 4 or something. Mac OSX has been 64 bit for a couple versions, and nearly every Intel Mac has the hardware to make use of it.

OK so Linux isn't a WoW platform.

64-bit World of Warcraft game client now available for testing {WoW}

Jan 9th 2012 2:39PM Oh I am glad for the 64 bit build to be sure, but this will not result in revolutionary performance gains. It does future proof wows platform for its foreseeable future though. Easier performance gains can be had by installing to a solid state drive and making sure your addons are reasonable and compatible.

Gold Capped: TradeSkillMaster advanced guide {WoW}

Mar 22nd 2011 9:36AM Yes you may queue items from another (banker) toon. Open _Crafting and select a profession on the side. I don't remember if you have to hit the open crafting window button, but it is possible. You won't be able to make anything without the profession of course. But you can use _Shopping to get the mats for the queue and _Mailing to auto send them to crafters. One login to the crafters and _Mailing to send your items back to the banker.

Jan 25th 2011 8:36AM @roshomon I hope you are joking, because if the blogs destroy your profits with one trick you aren't diversified enough. Try another profession, trade something else, or supply the latest fad. See the recent Gold Capped: The effect of mega-blogs on your business
