Nov 21st 2011 9:51PM Okay Chris, so any article that isn't about why WOW sucks doesn't have journalistic integrity. You know, that's why I come to this site, to read hate mail about a game I enjoy. /eyeroll
Jun 1st 2011 2:32AM Really? How much of your hourly wage do you donate to charity? Blizzard is a business. They sometimes act un-businessy by offering incentives to thier customers to donate to good causes. That doesn't mean they should have to do it every time.
I donate to several awesome charities (Heifer Intl' is my fave!). I would be utterly annoyed if someone told me that since I often donate, I should give a percentage of *all* my earnings to charity. Give the company their due for doing some good things, and understand that in the big-boy and big-girl world we have to make money to pay for cost of business and it's nice to take some home as well.
Apr 5th 2011 11:18AM Remember Tirion Fordring and Eitrigg? Eitrigg saved Tirion's life, and essentially just wanted to be left alone to spend his last few years after losing his entire family. He was captured and sentenced to death, and sticking up for him almost had Tirion executed and resulted in his being excommunicated from the Silver Hand and "stripped of the Light."
I think that this story is neither Horde nor Alliance biased, but more taken from the perspective of the lower echelons of society. Maybe the brass that makes the policies would be happier to see black and white: Horde members are evil baby-eaters and Alliance are merciless killers. But for the common Night Elf, the Orc and the Troll, there are two children at stake and they are capable of setting aside the "larger picture" to see what's in front of them.

Feb 3rd 2011 3:57PM Okay, this probably isn't the right forum, but I wanted to give poor Sindragosa some support! She sounds horrible and screechy, and I turned the game sound off for this fight, but at least it fits her backstory. Her mate was the Aspect of Magic and he was brutally assaulted by his best friend who he considered his brother and in the process Sindragosa's entire family was killed. She was thrown all the way up North, where she tried to die in her ancestoral lands, but couldn't quite make it and wound up dying alone and abandoned, buried in the ice for 10,000 years at which point some crazy meglomaniac came and resurrected her using her in a mockery of her life's station - being the 'queen - mother' of undead skeletal dragons.
I always felt it was fitting: "as your precious *MAGIC*... BETRAYS YOU." She doesn't sound angry, she sounds bitter and heartbroken. Magic didn't save her, by not doing so it betrayed her. I always felt that the screechy desperate pitch conveyed her own anger at the tragedy she's become, and maybe some horror that she's going to condemn you to the same fate.
Having said that: Well done Metzen, you poured your heart into that voice acting!
Jan 27th 2011 10:48AM My co-worker doesn't get it, but she understands it's important to me. She checked in with me every day after a raid night to ask if I had "gotten the Lick King down."
Jan 25th 2011 12:28PM I had a Death Knight who used the water walking thing on the fountain in Dalaran while I was trying to get the achievement, and then kept standing on my bobber. When I asked him (politely) to move, he demanded 10 gold to stop. I decided not to give him any attention so I went and did my tourney dailies, but when I got back to Dal, he was waiting, with another Death Knight in his same guild, and they and continued to do it. I finally reported them, being annoying is stupid, but extorting gold crosses the line.
It would be one thing if it was someone I knew who was messing with me, but this was a total strangere.
