Nov 15th 2011 10:33AM Whoops, my bad. It was actually an interview with Blizzard Insider, not WoW Insider.
Here is a link to a WoW Insider article with the same interview.
Nov 15th 2011 9:57AM As a bear tank, I would love for your prediction to be true. Even in Cataclysm, gearing up as a bear was a drag compared to doing so on my Blood DK. It took much longer to get the same quality of "tanking" gear. I can only imagine how much more difficult it will be when you have 24 other people in your group, rather than just 4. Especially when you consider that the player population will likely have plenty of agility leather hungry Monks in MoP.
Unfortunately, and I really do hope he was mistaken or will change his mind, Ghostcrawler has stated in an interview with this very site that "the tank and DPS monks will want the same Agility-based armor that rogues and Feral druids wear." Below is a link to a site hosting the interview.
I can specifically remember my pained disappointment when I read that particular line, as loot competition is one of the biggest hurdles to me using my bear rather than one of my other tanks.
I guess we can just keep hoping.
Nov 4th 2011 1:34PM The solution to players feeling they have been nerfed is to just do both! Do the iLevel compression, and then add an "M!" for MEGA! to the end of every single number in the game.
I meant that as a joke, but, it's scarily logical now that I think of it...
Jun 17th 2011 9:11AM "Boo is small and evasive, and there is ever so much of Minsc to search."
I'm so happy to have an opportunity to quote that.
Jan 25th 2011 6:09PM It is actually a bad idea to bring Corborus's Crystal Shard mobs to the tank. While the AoE damage upon death is not too bad, it applies a stackable debuff that increases all damage taken by 25%. It is much better to have that debuff on a dps or healer than the tank. So please, keep those mobs away from the tank.
