Patch 4.2 Preview: The Firelands {WoW}

Apr 28th 2011 4:34PM I'll admit I was extremely concerned. Ragnaros is my favorite villain in this game, and seeing his datamined model with feet had me worried.

Seeing him half-submerged in lava looking like he wants to bash your face in so hard your ancestors incinerate pleases me greatly.

Hail the Firelord!

Win a Razer Nostromo game keypad from WoW Insider {WoW}

Apr 26th 2011 4:16PM Oh please! Please?

Drama Mamas: What to do after inappropriate chat between wife and guildie {WoW}

Apr 22nd 2011 3:30PM Coming from a gaming husband myself (we actually met through WoW. I was the tank, she was my healer!), I'm going to emphasize something that the Drama Mamas said that you should take to heart.

Date night.

Every. Single. Week. Preferably out of doors. Doesn't have to be anywhere fancy at all, but being able to leave the house and have it just be you and your wife for a little bit of time is going to strengthen that relationship significantly.

Date night.

Know Your Lore: Interbellum part 6 -- The Coming of Rexxar {WoW}

Apr 20th 2011 2:20PM Rexxar is a great Orc, but he is still surpassed by the greatness of Saurfang's cleave.

Lichborne: New death knight gear coming in patch 4.1 {WoW}

Apr 19th 2011 4:45PM What's this? Weapons to cure my SMF itch?

Ragnarok Online goes free-to-play {Massively}

Apr 7th 2011 10:43AM Ahhhhh Ragnarok Online. My first ever MMO. It's got me all Nostalgic for my SinX.

Blood Pact: Do warlock pets need to be redesigned? {WoW}

Apr 4th 2011 5:25PM You have my vote on eliminating the DPS disparity and make the pet more of a utility tool rather than a DPS increase. With the removal of Soul Shard restrictions for pets, that means a Warlock would have a vastly expanded toolbox for any given situation, such as being able to use your Succy for a trash pull that needs that extra CC, and then swap to a Felhunter when you reach that boss that needs that interrupt or dispel something fierce. Maybe even grab your Voidwalker/Felguard if you need to help pick up some loose adds in an encounter.

Though, I wouldn't be opposed to an idea where each spec gets one pet (with the Voidwalker being the Solo tank) if your Imp was your "introductory pet", and then Summon Imp was changed to something else depending on spec (Felhunter for Afflicition, Felguard for Demonology, Succubus for Destruction). That'd remove the loose pet problem as well, though far less effectively.

A Phantasy Star Online figure to drain your Meseta {Joystiq}

Mar 30th 2011 4:36PM @bargaingamer

I just bought Starcraft 2 yesterday and have seen some rather impressive things done with its Galaxy Editor.

This comment on this article in particular makes me want to dust off my modding skills and try to remake PSO...

The Daily Grind: What is your favorite internet spaceship? {Massively}

Mar 29th 2011 5:14PM @KaiserZeppelin

Not sure why this was directed at me, as I said he'd find no better ship for high-speed Ninja salvaging than the Noctis. Not that the Noctis was better! *laughs*

(Not a huge fan of the Noctis. I preferred my Hurricane over it. Bonuses or not, the Cane just looks better visually. And that's important!)

Addon Spotlight: Cast bars evolve with Gnosis {WoW}

Mar 24th 2011 4:36PM Might I suggest Reflux? While it uses the same profile function on all of those addons, it makes it so when you type in

/reflux switch

It will automatically switch every addon you have to the profile with that name. It's the easier way of setting up a complex UI to stay consistent between characters.
