Apr 2nd 2012 5:46AM And the Horde's belittling of Alliance's opinions as whining and crying will never end either, so let's call it a tie in the things we all wish we didn't have to hear constantly.
Apr 2nd 2012 4:53AM And the 1-60 Alliance experience will be unchanged. This early content which is the base of beginning Alliance players' view of the story will remain bleak and dispiriting for a very long time. No seesawing at 85-90 is going to change that.
Dec 5th 2011 1:46PM Unless you are using Org specific npcs and portals very frequently, you should just place your hearth in Undercity (or any city you like) and use the portals to get to Org when you need to use any of it's services, hearthing back when you are done.
Portal to Blasted Lands
Enter Dark Portal
Turn left or right depending on faction
Enter portal to Org or SW
Takes less than 2 minutes and you can spend your queue/chat time in a city more to your liking than Org. I personally stay in Thunder Bluff or Dalaran and only go to Org a few times a day. I love it.
Nov 21st 2011 12:59AM You've got your JRR Tolkein timeline wrong. Tolkein's publishers had to beg him for years to write a sequel to the Hobbit, which ended up being the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
However, the bigger issue of using Gandalf as an example of losing something we love to create a stronger moment in the future is that, for most readers these days, Gandalf being "dead" may last hours, days or maybe weeks depending on how fast you are reading. The Alliance has been on the downswing for a much longer time. Even if you only include Cataclysm losses, this downswing will end up at least a year and a half to two years before there is any hope for a positive response.
Instead of a short period of sadness to reinforce Gandalf's triumphant return, you have what becomes a demoralizing length of time between alliance high points.
Oct 16th 2011 2:43PM Yeah, I was using Everyquest when I got my Loremaster. I switched over to Quest Completist at the start of Cataclysm when EQ took a bit to be updated. Either one would be a help for any person going for LM.
Oct 16th 2011 1:25PM The addon QuestCompletist is a great help for any aspiring Loremaster. It lists every quest for a zone with details on where to get the quest and can query Blizzard's database to show which ones you've done. Even warns you if there is a breadcrumb quest available for the quest you are about to pick up.
Also, I don't remember having to do dailies to finish Blades Edge. In fact, I'm pretty sure I had at least a few quests available in each Outland zone after getting Loremaster Outland.
Oct 14th 2011 1:39PM Eve Online upgraded their graphics engine a few years ago and for a while offered the ability to play on either the old engine or the new shiny engine. What happened was, the new engine was so much more efficient that it's performance ended up being better than the old engine along with looking nicer. A new graphics engine doesn't necessarily mean the end of WoW for older computers.
That said, I don't see Blizzard taking the time and money to create a new engine for a game of this age. If Titan's game engine cannot be carried over to WoW than I imagine they will just keep tweaking this one till the end of the game.
Oct 13th 2011 3:56PM Look for the addon Sniff-B-Gone. It basically overwrites the sniff noise with a blank sound file. That addon, plus ones to remove the water elemental noise and the hunter cat noise has made my auction house time much more enjoyable.
Oct 9th 2011 3:36PM Unless they have managed to copyright another name without anyone finding out (very unlikely) it's basically come down to either Mists of Pandaria being the next expansion or the next expansion will be unnamed at Blizzcon. There's no way they will announce an expansion name that hasn't been copyrighted and time is running out fast if MoP is not the expansion. I think the non-expansion ideas all seem to be stretches while it being the expansion seems highly likely.

They also see the words Rouge and Worgan everyday.
