Apr 20th 2011 2:32PM They actually HAVE done that; in 4.1 the "guild challenges" will reward guild XP and gold for doing guild runs of heroics.
One of the big problems with CTA, in my mind, is that you have to queue alone. Queueing with even a single friend is enough to dramatically improve the experience: you have at least one person you know will play well and a wall against votekick abuse. Letting you drag along one friend would still help speed queue times (you're still adding three whole queue slots to the pool) without the drawback of forcing people to go it alone.
Apr 15th 2011 10:29PM I want to second this. Lisa's answer is horrible and ignorant. The precise thing that lets douchebags get away with douchebag behavior is the people who say "oh, he's just clowning around with his friends" and write it off as harmless instead of the abusive, anti-social behavior that it is. (And that applies to straight-up abusive behavior just as much as cliched and offensive sexist jokes.)
Apr 14th 2011 8:34PM Heroic Culling is definitely soloable under 25, for at least some classes, and pretty trivially duoable. Out of all the mounts in this article it's by far the easiest to get now.
Mar 11th 2011 12:56AM In fact, one of the very first things in the EJ ele guide is a note explicitly saying just what this article does: balance mastery and haste, don't stack either to the exclusion of the other. There's also a long discussion on the most recent page reaffirming the same conclusion. One person even notes that "stat weights" saying things like "haste is 5% better than mastery" will erroneously lead people to wrong conclusions like always stacking haste over mastery as much as possible, exactly like you're suggesting now.
Mar 10th 2011 1:21PM I don't see how an NPC talking about their same-sex partner is "injecting politics" into a game that already includes large numbers of quests and storylines involving husbands and wives (Mankrik, Varian), unmarried heterosexual couples (Neeka/Helgrum in Swamp of Sorrows), revenge by jilted hetero lovers (goblin starting area), NPCs with single or multiple "mates"/"consorts" with whom they've bred children (three of the Dragon Aspects have one or more mates as major NPCs), hetero love triangles (Jaina/Arthas/Kael'thas, Tyrande/Malfurion/Illidan) and more.
A PG-13 depiction of sexuality is already prevalent in Warcraft (as it should be -- sexuality is a pretty prevalent aspect of life and most people interact with it, or manifestations of it, on a daily basis) so I can't see much basis for leaving same-sex couples out of it except to pretend they don't exist.
Feb 25th 2011 12:44AM Or just make a lot of gold in-game. There's usually a CCG mount put up on the AH every few weeks on my server -- you just need 60,000 gold to buy it with.
