Apr 3rd 2012 8:18PM I tend to stay silent in pug vent channels because I don't want to deal with the "suggestions." The only exception to this so far is OpenRaid.US's vent server because it has a higher-quality userbase.
I only play female characters because staring behind a male character feels weird - and this my personal reason and I am not saying other people are weird for this, at all. To each his or her own.
I like armor bikinis. It's like walking up to a boss and saying, "I'm so bad@$$ that you can't cut me even with this much skin exposed." I have female blood elf warrior in the Warlord set and love it. My first issue, as others have said in the comments, is that the graphics are not equally applied across the genders. My second issue is that it isn't once or twice - it is a constant barrage
Sexism does exist in this game. I shouldn't have to grin and bear it while an important male NPC calls an important female NPC a b---- or tells her to "hush." I do not care that it is a game. There are lines you do not cross, thresholds you do not surpass, and mores that you do not violate. Why do you think you cannot kill children NPCs in World of Warcraft? (Hint: The number of people who purchase and play the game find it objectionable.)
Part of the problem is in the company's own culture, too. http://youtu.be/Fi5dQzZp3f0?t=4m23s
And, for the record, Ji Firepaw's comment of, "Hello, friend! You're some kind of gorgeous, aren't you? I bet you can't keep the men off of you! Join me! You and I are going to be good friends!" is CREEPY (at best). It translates as, "Helllloooo there! You're that kind of hot that says you're available. I bet you get a lot of men who can't take 'no'. I'll keep them away and we'll be good 'friends'!"
I don't think that it is intentional, but some re-wording - or maybe an actual voice that properly portrays the tone of the message - is in order.
Apr 3rd 2012 12:37AM To be fair to Matt, he didn't say it was a rodent - just "rodent-shaped".

Mar 30th 2012 5:31PM If warlocks were given a choice between a Succubus or an Incubus - same skills, just different appearance - I would stop playing my mage and actually level my warlock past 26.
Green fire just wouldn't do it for me. But what the heck, I'll donate some gold pieces for the lawsuit fund.
Mar 16th 2012 7:48PM Ah, yes, the Fel Reaver. I kill that thing every time I pass through Hellfire Peninsula. I still haven't forgiven it for sneaking up behind me while I picked an herb (waaay back in TBC).
Mar 5th 2012 3:51PM Or, with the Keymaster achievement, a Blizzard dev decides to nuke it and you are even more Out Of Luck.
Mar 5th 2012 3:45PM I actually had that happen on my death knight - the data loss, not the drake. Asahel the Explorer was suddenly just Asahel after the Shattering patch. The Northrend map was still explored, but the rest of Azeroth was completely blank as was Outland. Flight-points were gone.
Of all my Explorer characters, Asahel was the only one affected. That's one too many, but it could have been worse... I can only pray that, when achievements are account-wide, that Blizzard has a system that will actually track the existence of achievements. Currently, if an achievement mysteriously disappears, you are Out Of Luck.
Feb 29th 2012 11:26PM "The great C'thun. The mighty Yogg-Saron. The terrifying N'Zoth! They fell to what? MORTALS!?"
N'Zoth hasn't been dealt with yet.
Feb 17th 2012 4:44PM "Same goes for Wrath gems and even some Wrath-era flasks. They were all used during the grind to level 85 [...]" Fixed.
My biggest regret was not buying Books of Glyph Mastery at the end of Wrath. On my server, there was at least a hundred being sold for an average of 13G. Now, even nearing the end of Cataclysm, they are still being sold for approximately 500G. (@Blizzard /shakefist)
Anyway, I am toying with the idea of stocking up on skins for Leatherworking. There's going to be a whole lot of leather-wearing pandaren... (And craft bags for players to buy for their new alt, too. :)
Feb 17th 2012 3:43PM I'm a little surprised that Valve believes it can trademark "DotA" (or other capitalization variations - I never know which one to use -_- ). I have never played the mod/game and, even with my cursory knowledge, would have said that there is too much dilution of the term for a successful trademark filing. /puzzled
