Armed Forces is September's Guild of the Month {WoW}

Oct 19th 2009 4:07PM What an awesome idea! I wish we had known about this guild while we were stationed in Germany!
We'll probably be heading back overseas at some point so we'll definitely hit you guys up then.

I concur with Tirrimas,
/salute

Argent Tournament gains will not transfer between factions {WoW}

Sep 11th 2009 2:38PM "Blizzard couldn't think of a way to do it technically..."
Total and complete horse crap cop out.
I was exalted and had the Crusader title. How hard would it have been to just give me the title and the exalted rep on the horde Tourney faction?

Fail.

Survey: Figuring out the faction transfer numbers {WoW}

Sep 4th 2009 4:40PM Anyone considering making the switch should read all of the info on the FAQ pages before dropping their cash.
I made the switch, but, as per Blizzard's stipulation, my maxed Argent Tourney rep and Crusader title did not convert to the Horde equivalents. It's a real bummer but I guess the flip side is that I get to earn that much more gold while building my Sunreaver rep.

Officers' Quarters: The standby experience {WoW}

Aug 17th 2009 2:06PM Our guild DKP system allows standby players to earn points while on the waitlist. Players do not need to sit around waiting for a chance to get in to the raid, they just need to be logged in. When I joined I rode along on the sidelines for a few weeks that way. I did what it took to get geared up on my own and when my chance to backfill came I jumped at the opportunity and showed them I could hold my own with the rest of the regulars. I became a core raider shortly thereafter.
I've seen many players come and go because they did not get invited into an Ulduar run the very day they joined the guild. I've seen others complain about being on the waitlist but rather than running heroics to badge up they just goofed off in BGs or dueled outside of Orgrimmar. I've even seen regulars quit because they didn't get a slot in the guild's first 10 man toc run.
These quitters don't think far enough ahead to realize that if they try to get into another raiding guild they'll be right back in the same situation they left. Either that or the only guilds that will take them in are the ones who could benefit from their vast amounts of experience, if you know what I mean.
Put in your time, learn your class, learn the fights, gear up as much as you can on your own, and don't join a guild for what you can get out of it, but for what you can contribute.

Breakfast Topic: Inexplicable dislikes {WoW}

Jun 5th 2009 2:22PM Amen on the DK thing! Some of us actually know how to play them.

Breakfast Topic: Inexplicable dislikes {WoW}

Jun 5th 2009 10:23AM I can't stand the extremely low proc rate for Nobles cards when doing Darkmoon Cards of the North with my scribe. I had to buy two of the cards for my first Nobles deck but since I made it I have made at least 15-20 more cards, not one single Nobles card!!!! It's really annoying.

Breakfast Topic: Inexplicable dislikes {WoW}

Jun 5th 2009 10:08AM Agreed!! That is quite annoying.
