Blue Posts: 'One of our design philosophies is: simple to learn, difficult to master,' and 15 more Blizzard posts {WoW}

Mar 7th 2012 6:52AM Anyone else appreciate the Workaholics reference with Ders and Jillian for Bash's hypothetical between two sets of gear?

5 not-so-simple ways Blizzard can fix the World of Warcraft Auction House {WoW}

Feb 22nd 2012 11:38AM I had a few shares of Stupid Boomkin (NYSE: SBI), but it was just waaay too back and forth for me... Profit, loss, profit, loss. It was like two different companies. Day and night, almost.

Arcane Brilliance: MoP talent calculator changes for mages, part 1 {WoW}

Feb 19th 2012 6:25AM Nobody's even commented on the greatest thing ever! ARCANE CHARGE! Arcane is going to be (at least) a four-button rotation, with a Bomb, ABlast and Amissiles building up charge and Abarr clearing the stack. So spitting out as many powered-up, free Arcane Missiles will be an important DPS component of the rotation, not just something you do to conserve mana (so machine gun magic missiles will actually HIT!). I know this article was focused on the talents, but I'm so excited about the prospect of a more dynamic Arcane rotation, ESPECIALLY coupled with the new lvl 90 talents... couldn't contain myself.

Also- fire Mastery should make getting glorious Combustions a bit easier, no?

Great time to be a mage! (Though, blasphemy though it may be to say so, warlocks have gotten some SERIOUS love in the MoP talent calc...)

How to carry the flag in Warsong Gulch {WoW}

Jan 26th 2012 2:20PM Another tip that seems obvious but could be helpful- Once you've cleared the enemy base as a FC, if you check your raid frames and see 4-5 teammates dead, its probably a good idea to try to make a beeline for your own graveyard. You can't get up anymore to get in your, but swinging by that side of the map, even with enemies on your tail, gives a chance for a small squad of your allies to spawn all at once and jump in to your rescue, and cover your escape to either your friendly tunnel or up your own ramp.

WoW Rookie: Deciding whether to level through PvP {WoW}

Feb 17th 2011 10:35AM For me, I hit level 55 on my Mage (my first toon, back when the game first started) and just gave up on it, and the game as a whole, until Wrath when I came back and leveled a DK to 80 and got back into the game.

Returning to my mage, I found that 55-70 was SO much easier PvPing than questing. Frost mages were a bit OP after 4.0.3, admittedly, but it was fun and varied, and man did it save me from another mindless grind through laughably outdated content in Outland (I hate that place). The level 60 PvP set is pretty attainable, cool-looking, and serves you just fine until you hit level 68 (if you want to head to Northrend). After 70 questing through Northrend became more attractive, for economic/gear reasons.

Lichborne: Major patch 4.0.6 changes for death knights {WoW}

Feb 15th 2011 2:23PM Thanks for this, summed everything up quite nicely. Glad to see Unholy not get nerfed into the ground- new Mastery makes gearing a lot more pleasant too.

I was wondering how the changes leave disease-less Blood Tanking... specifically the changes to Crimson Scourge (now offering free Blood Boils when you strike a target with Blood Plague) and with the 30% disease damage boost available on the first tier of Unholy for Blood tanks. I've been running heroics diseaseless for a bit now, and I rather enjoy just sort of BB/HS, DS and RSing my way to victory, and just using Outbreak on CD or on tougher mobs.

Thoughts?
