Addon Spotlight: Blizzard's built-in raid profiles {WoW}

Jul 7th 2011 2:24PM Since the 4.2 patch I've been having major issues with the blizzard frames disappearing. It hasn't happened during combat (yet) but it happens all the time outside of combat.

My workaround is to open up the profile screen and toggle a setting in the raid profile (I uncheck and check the "Use Raid-Style Party Frames" checkbox). It comes back every time, but it's a really annoying workaround.

I've read other people on the official forums having the same issue, but no real fix yet. Has anybody else had this problem?

WoW Insider's Guide to Occu'thar {WoW}

Jul 6th 2011 3:17PM Yeah, mind-bottling. You know, when things are so crazy it gets your thoughts all trapped, like in a bottle?

WoW Insider's Guide to Occu'thar {WoW}

Jul 6th 2011 2:40PM Yesterday my server trade chat looked like this:

"looking for one healer for BH. must know the fight"

It was the first night the fight has been offered, and I'm supposed to be unsaved -and- know the fight intimately? I was beside myself. I could not get into a pug for this (and have good gear).

Mind bottling.

Patch 4.2 PTR notes updated for May 26 {WoW}

May 27th 2011 9:58AM If you don't pvp yes, it's a pretty big nerf. I think most of the comments here are accurate, and most rogues will never choose readiness over shadows. Especially if they can just glyph CoS for added physical reduction. Try to look at the bright side, damage is getting buffed .

Patch 4.2 PTR notes updated for May 26 {WoW}

May 26th 2011 11:42PM Well, you can glyph CoS and get the damage reduction back.

The thing I'm upset with is the bump from 90s to 2m on the CoS cooldown. Will Elusiveness be buffed to compensate or will it remain unchanged? If it's the later it's a pretty substantial nerf to pvp rogue survivability.

That said, the buffs to dps might offset the nerfs to survivability.

So maybe things will work out. One thing I do know: it's too early to start swearing and proclaim the world (of warcraft) is over.

Gold Capped: How to price Cataclysm glyphs {WoW}

May 23rd 2011 2:41AM Basil, you touched on your 48 hour repost cycle but I'd love to hear how you still make good profits against serious campers.

There is one person on my realm that undercuts all hours of the day. I've tried everything I can think of, including: heavy undercutting, attacking his supply, even a "staring contest" on a weekend where I had nothing else going on.

Non of these strategies work. If I post on a 24 hour repost (i.e. once a day) every single one of my auctions will be undercut. Maybe a handful sell. By a handful I mean 1-5. Is this really how I'm supposed to make gold through glyphs?

Encrypted Text: Rogue roles in PvP {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2011 3:16PM Whoa. Easy tiger ...

My eyes also got wide when I read the bit about poisons and rupture. I dismissed the poison comment but the rupture comment made me think (as a recent assassination->mutilate convert) "should I be using rupture?". Then I did some more reading at EJ and wowhead on the subject.

And you know what? That's great. Not every wowinsider article has to be the definitive resource for each topic posted. If the article promotes thinking, discussion, or more reading I think it's done a good job.

Finally, I was one of those last week asking for a PVP article. So yes, I'm not going to complain :)
