May 29th 2011 12:28AM Question for the Queue: I feel like this hasn't been answered enough in the last month and a half. So here it goes.

When patch 4.2 goes live, what will happen to my valor points? What will happen to my justice points? Will T11 be purchasable for Justice? How will the new gear be purchased? Will there be new badges? Do you think they will make the helm and shoulders available for points or not? Do you think people will still raid T11? How come we keep answering this stupid question? Is it not completely redundant to continue asking this question?

Stop it people. Just stop it. Stop it. Now.

I guess this whole argument has me completely befuddled. I, and perhaps only I?, absolutely love hit rating as a stat that requires me to balance the rest of my gear around.

Perhaps this stems from me being a long time (4+ yrs) tank and the fact that I thoroughly enjoyed the fine art that was stat balancing around 3-4 different stats that were nearly a requirement to raid. Defense cap? Check. Expertise cap? Check. Hit cap? Check. 102.4% block to push off crushing blows? Check! This type of gearing, while probably too problematic for relatively new players, was an amazingly fun meta game for a large percentage of the tanking player base. You cannot imagine the uproar that was had over the removal of defense. I

I guess what I'm getting at is that if you truly enjoy upgrading your character through gear, it seems to me that getting rid of the one stat that truly requires you to THINK about what items you are wearing would remove the fun you derive from upgrading gear. At that point, you might as well be PVPing. Each new piece is undoubtedly better than the last, just slap it on and go.

TL;DR: Stat balancing is fun because it forces you to make conscious decisions about your gear, I'm surprised you don't feel this way. What DO you enjoy then?

May 19th 2011 5:29PM I fully agree, the Drama Mama's have had my full attention since my first day discovering WoW Insider. I love the column and I hope to hear more of the fascinating tales of Robin and Lisa! (Also I am rediculously in love with Matticus and all his "Ready Check"edness!!)
