Of monks, mains, and the ability to change {WoW}

Apr 2nd 2012 5:30PM At first, I was the same way with my hunter. He had a ton of unique stuff, he was the first character I ever made, and I'd done everything with him. I don't remember what finally sparked my decision to move on, but if I had to guess, I would say it was the appeal of those special things that made every other class unique. I'm pretty sure my second 80 (this was back in Wrath) was a druid. I wanted to shapeshift! I wanted to turn into a bird so bad. To just be able to pop back into flight instantly. Then came a mage. I could use blink and make cakes and freeze myself and go invisible! Then a warrior. I could charge, I could slam my shield into your face, I could leap through the air, and I never felt so cool as I did on my worgen warrior in full level 70 pvp gear. Then a priest. Infini-bubbles. Next is a paladin. Super-bubble. I've turned into an altoholic. Although I have come back to my hunter, and it is currently my "main" again, for the first time in I don't know how long. It's still the toon I invested the most in. It's still my favorite. Sometimes I just want to experience those cool things other classes have though, or experience the rest of what WoW has to offer. Sticking to one class causes you to miss out, in away. Sometimes people are okay with it, sometimes they're not.

The Game Archaeologist dials up Phantasy Star Online: The highlights {Massively}

Jan 31st 2012 2:06PM My family and I couldn't play this online due to reasons I don't even remember, but my brother/cousin and I played this game obsessively offline. I remember getting to around level 120 and the farthest I made it was the cave boss on Ultimate via solo play.

Great memories.

The Daily Grind: Does quest reward realism matter? {Massively}

Dec 24th 2011 8:16AM Doesn't bother me any, personally. I get frustrated at low drop rates and laugh at a small creature having random epic gear, but it doesn't really matter.

Breakfast Topic: Do you PvP to win or to make the enemy lose? {WoW}

Dec 24th 2011 8:13AM It is the most pure form of pvp enjoyment, to me. I often sacrifice myself to occupy several people at once, if only for the purpose of keeping them from doing anything but focusing on me instead of an objective.

SWTOR's Damion Schubert pulls some ideas off the Wall of Crazy {Massively}

Sep 20th 2011 9:23AM Admittedly, I'm surprised they had the nerve to say those were on the wall of crazy as well. Maybe we're being trolled? I hope so. At the last, the markings should have been considered standard from the beginning.

Breakfast Topic: What was your moment of awe in WoW? {WoW}

Sep 9th 2011 12:27PM @Cambro

That's awesome lol. I think I also took forever to get a mount...back when I played it was 40 to get the reg mount and a good deal of gold. I believe someone bought it for me? They inspired me to be kind to newer players forever, they did.
