The Cataclysm: A critical examination {WoW}

Oct 29th 2011 1:09PM There have been too many times recently where I've run into people with really bad attitudes in heroics. I was doing a run with my boyfriend, a newly dinged paladin, just the other night. Everything was going well but just before the first boss, a vote comes up to kick my boyfriend for 'shit dps'. I said that wasn't fair as he was still gearing up. The tank said "I'm not here to help people gear up". I left.

There are plenty of things I don't like about Cata but this attitude that has been bred into pugs is something I truly hate.

Around Azeroth: It's lovely out in the woods today but safer to stay at home {WoW}

Oct 10th 2011 1:51PM Really excellent work, and I'm not just saying that because we're guildies. ;D

Breakfast Topic: What's the saddest quest in WoW? {WoW}

May 12th 2011 2:56PM I was playing a worgen through the Barrens and a fellow worgen npc asked me to kill an orc leader and bring back his helm. I did so. He held the helm with trembling hands and quietly explained that he and some other worgen were attacked in cold blood as they tried to flee the ruins of Gilneas. The orc leading the attack had murdered this surviving worgen's brother.

And wore his scalp as a helm.

Apr 25th 2011 3:57AM I will never forget when Saurfang said it was the sound of draenei children being slaughtered that haunted him the most from his time under the blood curse. And Garrosh tried to argue it was necessary..

Apr 18th 2011 6:42PM I'm a mage too but had to read the article when I saw the opener was in Drow.

How did you discover World of Warcraft? {WoW}

Apr 14th 2011 11:15AM My first boyfriend introduced me to D&D and computer RPGs. I was on a NWN persistent server when WoW came out but I refused to play because I thought it would be a bunch of idiots grinding levels and no RP, no story, nothing to keep me interested. Several years later there was a free trial at Christmas and I thought what the heck. Rolled on an RP realm and died a lot on a human mage and nelf druid. Shortly thereafter TBC came out and I fell instantly in love with my draenei mage. I went from hardcore RPer only to still an RPer but also a hardcore raider. Now I've had a child I can't spend so much time on WoW but I still play almost daily and even have a little worgen resto druid with 85 on the horizon.

All the World's a Stage: Roleplaying with disadvantages {WoW}

Apr 10th 2011 7:08PM My nelf mage has lived for thousands of years and is powerful beyond belief. However, she is incredibly acerbic and has a very short temper. I was a bit wary about RPing her in the beginning but her caustic personality has actually resulted in hilarious RP because she's so easily wound up and doesn't hesitate to retaliate with biting sarcasm or, failing that, a fireball in the face.
