The Daily Grind: Who was your MMO mentor -- and whom did you mentor? {Massively}

Mar 21st 2012 4:39PM A friend of mine introduced me to WoW shortly after he bought it. He got me hooked, and we played together all the time. I wouldn't call him the best mentor(he was just as lost as I was most of the time), but he got me into one of my favorite games. He also explained basic stuff such as stats and talents. I had no talents until I was level 20, and I had been using whatever gear and weapons had more armor.damage. I got another friend to play a few years later, and he got the benefit of having myself and my friend who introduced me to WoW as mentors. We weren't as incompetent after 2 years.

The Perfect Ten: Best MMO theme songs (part two) {Massively}

Jan 26th 2012 4:50PM Great to hear the WoW theme again, been awhile. That song, with the loading screen, brings back so many memories. I've liked the screens since, but that one just takes me back to a simpler time when I had no idea what I was doing.

No BlizzCon in 2012, championship to be held in Asia {WoW}

Jan 25th 2012 5:35PM Well that's a bit disappointing, although I definitely see their reasoning. I've never been able to go to Blizzcon, and i wasn't plannin on it this year, but I'll still miss following the coverage. Hopefully we'll get some Titan new before Blizzcon 2013, possibly a reveal when Blizzcon would be going on?

Breakfast Topic: What NPC do you miss the most? {WoW}

Jan 24th 2012 10:41PM I really miss the old Deadmines cast. My best friend ran me through there way back when i was level 20 and knew nothing. Seeing a massive pirate ship in a cave and listening to my friend scream, "it's the f***ing Goonies!" is one of my favorite moments of WoW. I also really miss Cairne and Magni. And Thrall's old look.

The Game Archaeologist seals up 2011 {Massively}

Jan 5th 2012 6:41PM These were cool to go back through, especially the Everquest ones. You could do Guild Wars. Although the game is far from dead, the release of Guild Wars 2 could present the opportunity to look at the game's history. Also, what game is that art from? It looks so cool.

MMO Roundup: The Old Republic exceeds 1 million subscribers {WoW}

Dec 28th 2011 10:08AM I never thought about it like that, but it makes perfect sense.

MMO Roundup: The Old Republic exceeds 1 million subscribers {WoW}

Dec 27th 2011 11:56PM Got SWTOR today. Pretty fun game, basically WoW if it had been made in 2011 (in gameplay respects). Sadly, i spent my first hour on Korriban listening to a bunch of people whine about how Blizzard wronged them throughout their lives, which slightly dulled the experience.

Massively's MMO predictions for 2012: Shawn Schuster {Massively}

Dec 27th 2011 11:44PM Interesting predictions. Rift will have to go F2P, and I think The Secret World will change to that model as well. Any of the few remaining declining MMOs will go free, leaving WoW and SWTOR as subs, plus a few odd others. I think Mists of Pandaria will do great with its new gameplay additions. I'm a bit disappointed that most of you thought GW2 won't do as well as hoped at launch, but I see where you're coming from.
Just my views on things.

The Daily Grind: Did you get gaming gifts for the holidays? {Massively}

Dec 27th 2011 4:25PM I got Arkham City which I'm enjoying a lot more than I expected to. My brother got Halo Anniversary so I've been playing that. I also bought Knights of The Old Republic off steam, and picked up SWTOR.

12 Days of Winter Veil Giveaway: 60-day prepaid game cards from {WoW}
