Mar 23rd 2012 7:52PM Met my husband via WoW (his brother was my guild leader at the time - and he was our resident silent shaman). I have a lot of hatred for most "dating" sites - I tried to get an account via Eharmony prior to meeting my now husband and based on their "scientific" hooey I was deemed "not ready for one of their relationships" - yeah WoW proved to be a better matchmaking service anyway, happily married to a great guy now that I honestly never would have met had it not been for a video game!
Sep 15th 2011 7:14PM I always pictured the same thing, this is perhaps because I always picture other women as being older than myself, now after this picture I am reminded that I am getting old. Now I'm depressed, damn you Dawn Moore :P
I do have to say I really enjoy these features, it's nice to get to know a little bit more about the people who write the articles I read every week, along with finally having a face to put to the name :D
Aug 21st 2011 6:14AM CTMod & KLH threat meter, I joined my first raiding guild and the guild leader told me to download them, I didn't even know mods existed prior to that - now I have a very very long list of mods I can't imagine playing without :D
Aug 21st 2011 4:40AM I think the black mageweave leggings will be popular if for no other reason than they are really the only pants you can wear under items like the Vestments of the Shifting Sands, or anything that has openings on it. I'm already hording away a few pairs, now I just got to get those damn vestments to drop :/
Aug 21st 2011 4:37AM They really aren't, especially for a mage. I "duo" BT, SSC & Hyjal every few weeks on my priest w/ a druid tanking. I highly recommend you get two friends (a tank and a healer), if you have that you should be golden for pretty much any of them except Sunwell, as I've heard some of the fights in there still require more people.
Jul 27th 2011 7:25AM agree :D Love love love mumford & sons, so kudos to the excellent musical choice. Now if only I could force myself to be interested in PVP :(
Jul 19th 2011 11:06PM No, you were not the only one. Although Athenes response video to it was possibly even more overly dramatic and cheesy. Seriously, their reaction was almost of one of finding out you are being jailed by some foreign communist government for daring to speak your mind.
Jul 19th 2011 11:04PM Huzzah for one sided reporting, glad you like the guy and all but the fact is you left out half of what happened. They crashed not one but three servers, once is accidental when you are on your way to crashing the fourth before Blizzard pulls the plug on you it's purposeful. After he was banned, his "followers" basically held a server hostage till the ban was revoked. His world get-together had nothing to do with an objective in the game (unlike the black bear runs you tried to compare it to), it was so he could get paid by Razer and give out items. His sheep also felt the need to go onto the forums and spam pointless crap over and over again.
Bottom line if random joe player would have done this, the outcome would not have been the same. They may have convinced Blizzard to undo their ban but it would have taken more time than it did for this man to get his account back. The things he had going for him were threefold - he's some kind of e-hero to certain players and is well known by a certain segment of the wow population, he is a paid representative of a company that does business with Blizzard and a Blizzard customer service agent acknowledged that they were "fans of his guild". Apparently if you make crappy youtube videos about a video game you are above the ToS - who knew.
Jul 14th 2011 12:22AM Ugh "The Point" - I fully remember finding this cartoon very strange and traumatizing when I was a small child - had totally forgotten what it was called, so thanks for reminding me and the nightmares that I'm sure will ensue from it :P
Jul 10th 2011 6:47AM My gnome mage was the first character I ever made and leveled way back in vanilla. Recently got a second account via RAF and am now thinking about trying out leveling another one just to see how different it will be from the first go around. I've always been a staunch fire mage, so now to decide between the other trees!
As far as race choices go, I'm leaning towards Draenei, simply because they have Gift of the Naaru, and a heal even one with a cooldown would be spiffy for my cloth wearing self :D
