Know Your Lore: A miscellany of characters {WoW}

Sep 28th 2011 8:00PM Great article! I had completely forgotten about Nazgrel with Cataclysm.

WoW Insider reviews Christie Golden's Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects {WoW}

Jul 18th 2011 3:05PM It's a shame this is downrated.

But the truth is this is how Wow is. The characters of Varian, of Garrosh, of Aggra are all illustrated by how they measure up to Thrall. When Varian was first introduced, Chris Metzen said he was the "anti-Thrall" for lack of any real original characterization. At the lore panel at Blizzcon last year, Chris Metzen mentioned how Garrosh's whole character arc is to show a different comparison to Thrall. This very article goes over how Aggra is a foil to Thrall compelling him to action--or at least ironing out his resolve-- with her words. This book shows the Aspects in disarray, and it'll take Thrall to get to the bottom of it all.

It's boring. It's predictable. Make Thrall dynamic and kill him off already.

Two Bosses Enter: Ozruk vs. Eregos {WoW}

Jun 13th 2011 5:16PM To add to this, I'd like to know where in game is Cardboard Assassin a boss?

Know Your Lore: Sargeras and speculation on the next expansion {WoW}

Jun 12th 2011 6:57PM With all the changes that Cata brought to Wow, I hope the next expansion is something completely different and something not listed in this article. This isn't to say that I wouldn't love to see the Emerald Dream or Argus, but I'd like to see more new lore introduced and explored.

Two Bosses Enter: Baron Ashbury vs. Cardboard Assassin {WoW}

Jun 6th 2011 10:22AM I notice that Cardboard Assassin has no special powers this time, but in the first round he specifically had an immunity to Vanessa's Mind potions listed.

Breakfast Topic: Are you a closet roleplayer? {WoW}

May 25th 2011 10:00AM I'm definately a closet rp-er. I have a backstory for each of my characters, and often while playing I will work out my character's reaction to quests or events in-game.

The Queue: The Golden Crown {WoW}

May 24th 2011 11:16AM I'm impressed how each episode seems to up the previous in terms of drama and great character moments.

Two Bosses Enter: Vanessa VanCleef vs. Cardboard Assassin {WoW}

May 9th 2011 8:20PM Vanessa all the way, but votes show the cardboard assassin with a 600 vote lead. Seriously?

Breakfast Topic: Who is your unsung Cataclysm hero? {WoW}

May 8th 2011 11:04AM Joanna Blueheart of Marshtide Watch is a throwaway quest giver in Swamp of Sorrows, but her quest text regarding her past with the Swamp of Sorrows, and how she handles the assault on Stonard makes her so awesome in my book. I wish she could be more prominent to the Cataclysm storyline.

Breakfast Topic: Who are the most robust characters of the expansion? {WoW}

May 4th 2011 11:17AM I really enjoyed Fargo Flintlocke. When he shoots you onto the Horde blimp with the pretenses that they won't expect your class to take them down despite breaking both your legs from the impact of being shot, I couldn't stop laughing. Playing through the alliance twilight highlands intro quests, his dialogue makes me laugh each time.

Though she doesn't do much, Joanna Blueheart of Marshtide Watch is maybe most favorite npc of Cataclysm. Her quest text shows her to be level-headed, honorable and flat out awesome, and I would love to see her, or a character like her become more prominent.
