Addon Spotlight: Addon Roulette and win a Razer Nostromo {WoW}

Oct 28th 2011 4:47PM I really liked armory, but it kept resetting and running into issues with other addons. I have switched over to altohollic.

The Queue: Hey Minnesota Twins, let's chat for a second {WoW}

Jun 2nd 2011 1:40PM We've done this a few times at 85. Our healers don't heal anyone except the tank(s). Throw a frost resist if you have it. Any self healing class (warlocks / shadow priests) will manage through this phase just fine. Anyone that can sacrifice life at the start of the phase should (life tap, SW:D, etc). (Can you tell which classes I run with a lot?) And if possible, we tell our healers not to heal through any damage on the dps throughout the fight. This helps the transition to P3.

Sure it's still hard. Plan ahead.

Patch 4.2: Normal mode tier 11 encounters nerfed {WoW}

May 24th 2011 10:28PM And thus we see the rebirth of the GDKP.

May 22nd 2011 8:20PM Fox Van Allen did an article on this a few days ago.

They aren't really nerfing shadow priest damage. They're nerfing the ability to multidot on fights with 2 or more boss-like characters. (Halfus, Valiona and Theralion, etc)

May 13th 2011 1:10AM Ugh. Anyone else feel ripped off when it comes to crafting Dreamcloth? The epic patterns listed above take 8 Dreamcloth. If I wanted to make 1 of those in a week I would need 30 of each volatile, 10 stacks of cloth. Well, there's my 5 week long cooldowns. Well what about the other 3? Let me run 15 heroics AND win the Chaos Orb at the end.

Sure a bunch of us have some stockpiled, but not everyone does.

Patch 4.2 PTR notes for May 10 {WoW}

May 11th 2011 8:25AM I would assume the refreshed HoTs would gain the mastery bonus. That's how refreshed DoTs (Shadow Word: Pain, Corruption, etc) work. They gain spell power, haste, and crit (or lose it) when they're refreshed.

A quick fix would be to throw a direct heal at the tank pre-pull. Possibly even rolling them in Lifebloom before the pull.

Breakfast Topic: Would you list WoW leadership on your real-life resume? {WoW}

May 7th 2011 6:32PM If you're doing it right, they're actually quite close.

It also depends on the work environment. But working as an officer in a guild has felt like the jobs I've worked in the past...Only online instead of in person.

May 7th 2011 6:19PM "Organizing weekend excursions for new team members." Is a decent start. I'll keep working on it and see if I can come up with something else.

Hopefully this will only fuel more ideas from other people.

The Light and How to Swing It: Tankadin bugs and hidden changes from 4.1 {WoW}

May 7th 2011 6:39AM I find that I can still use WoG as a tank to ease things up for the healers. HS lasts a lot longer than it takes for me to round up 3 Holy Power. If you're worried about doing damage and threat then by all means keep hitting HS. But if things are smooth sailing and you're taking a few too many unmitigated hits (RNG can still get you) then it's okay to use WoG. The CD just makes it so it's not spammable anymore.
