Twilight Sparkle is a My Little Pony to be reckoned with in Fighting is Magic {Joystiq}

Nov 6th 2011 7:09AM I must say something, and if anyone can explain it to me I'll be very happy.

MLP is really awesome and so is this game, but how are they not getting sued for this or at least getting slammed with cease and desist messages?

Are the creators and owners of the rights to the show so awesome that they approve of this fun game?

Report: Assassin's Creed movie deal gives Ubi too much power, puts movie in danger {Joystiq}

Nov 4th 2011 12:36PM I can see it now. If you don't hold your ticket in your hand above your head for the staff to see at all times, the movie stops playing. It's the whole Assasin's Creed DRM experience!

Watch the sounds of Skyrim get made, pre-order the four-disc soundtrack {Joystiq}

Nov 3rd 2011 4:26PM At 150 dollars for the collector's edition of the game, this sound-track should have been included.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Collector's Edition unboxing (or: Here, there be dragons) {Joystiq}

Nov 1st 2011 1:34PM 150 is way too much. Not even a sound-track? Lame.

Corpse Party starts boogeyin' this November {Joystiq}

Nov 1st 2011 8:16AM Happy schoolkids going crazy and meeting bizzare and grizzly deaths. Yep. I always think of Higurashi when I see this game.

Counter Strike: GO beta delayed to address early feedback {Joystiq}

Nov 1st 2011 8:11AM I know it's not a necessity, but I hope this version of CS will have iron sights and other sights like red-dot and ACOG. Just shooting from the hip feels unnatural to me in modern shooter games, now.

I'm not a COD fanboy or anything. CS is great but I love me some weapon sights.

Take a walk through Deus Ex: Human Revolution's Missing Link DLC {Joystiq}

Oct 10th 2011 7:47PM @liquidsoap89

I can only speak for myself, but I prefer my stories to flow forward. Not backward or sideways. The fact that this game was a prequel irked me enough. Still, if a prequel is done right, I can appreciate it.

As for dlc, I prefer it to take place after the main plot of a game. not before or during.

That said, I don't dislike extra content. I'd just prefer it to have added more after the endings, but I understand why that's not very plausible.

Scope of Beyond Good & Evil 2 requires next-gen consoles {Joystiq}

Sep 30th 2011 1:06PM This is just an exuse.

All waiting for the next gen is going to do is let the title languish in vaporware hell.

If they actually do try to develop it for a new console, one of two scenarios is likely.

1. They try to develop it to be a game in the beginning of the console's life-span. This will mean that the developers don't have proper experience in writing code for the new technology and the game will be a mess with loads of performance issues.

2. They decide to wait until they have more experience with the console, at which point they forget all about the project, lose funding for it, or get too wrapped up in another project. Some time after this, they'll claim that they want to make it happen but they need to wait for NEXT gen to do it. By that time, people will be reading the article from their neural uplink to the hive-mind and thinking. "What's beyond good and evil?'

Guy chokes a kid after being made fun of in Black Ops, we're ... upset {Joystiq}

Sep 30th 2011 1:00PM Doing something like that is terrible and of course the media attention is gonna be another slam against gamers.

Thad said, this article is pretty funny.

The kid isn't permanently harmed, so I guess it's ok to laugh.

Driver: San Francisco studio head defends Ubisoft DRM system {Joystiq}

Sep 3rd 2011 9:38AM @neocloud61

I should also clarify, that I wouldn't touch this particular game with a 50 foot pole, regardless of drm.
