Mar 28th 2012 2:29PM wow that explains it, i always wondered why these never worked for me
Mar 26th 2012 2:45PM Exactly fire. For 25 man we have a roster of liek 31 people. Sometimes all of them are on, sometime we're just getting 25th online at invite time. AFKs happen, the key is to planning ahead for them, not waiting until laste minute with a roster that only works if EVERYONE shows.
Mar 23rd 2012 12:39PM Honestly, i've watched the video of Mike on stage 4 times now. This is what i heard.
You will also get, Guaranteed access, into the next world of warcraft beta. When it goes live."
I noted a pause between "beta" and when". A pause is an end in statement, making the following part a new statement, not part of first. this completely changes the meaning of the words. It's hard to emphesize this when it isn't writen, so a case for either way would be hard to win. but ultimately i don't think the vid would be tangable in any argument.
Also, lets look at ad:
Now it's hard to see cause of someone drawing on it, but i'm pretty sure there is a period in here so statement reads as follows:
"You'll be able to download and play Diablo III as soon as it's available and once you complete the one-year term, it's yours to keep, even if you cancel your subscription. Tyrael's Charger will be available with Patch 4.3, and beta access will go live with the beta launch."
Again, two different statements with a paused break. Second statement not being part of first they are not one in the same. So by proper interpretations. Both the video and the add never promised YOU access when it goes live. They promised YOU would get access period. Then the following sentence promises access when beta launches as a generalized statement not directed at "YOU", refering to the annual pass program itself. Annual pass program did send out wave 1 of invies day 1. If you look at these facts, the terms in both video and ad were honored. YOU will get beta access guarenteed. Annual pass program will gain access day 1.
On top of that, both the FAQ AND the actual ToS were very specific you were only promised beta access, neither one mentioned day 1.
Mar 17th 2012 2:57PM eh, not really Noyou. If it was individual maybe. but as a guild i I don't see a guild going "hey we need to grind out weekly cap in 24 hours". MAYBE if they are going for realm first and that week they are going to ding 30 in MoP. But that's going to happen once each expansion maybe? Other then that, there is no real gain in grinding it out like that. You still got a weekly cap. Besides, blizz already oked doing 7 heroics in a row in a single day right?
I just hated earning 40k plus guid experience in a single day, 6k of it being used, 34k being pissed away, then not capping 4-5 other days that week. That was a load of crap. Raid bosses were worth 3k. 2 raid bosses is all it needed for a cap. Some raid bosses were worth even more then that, omnotron was worth 12k experience, and the daily cap was 6k? Unless blizzards intent is for you to raid 7 days a week for 30 min a day, to spread the raid exp out into a daily cap. Now they could also make some exceptions, certain activities like grinding quests, heroics, etc can have a daily cap. while other things have a weekly cap, and then both of these apply to a total weekly cap. So something like raiding can apply to weekly cap total but only x number of quests or something. Although realisticly i don't really see the point in even doing that.
We'll see what MOP holds. I know new guild levels are being added, not 25 more though probalby only 5 more, but with a great deal amount more exp required to achieve new leels so those 5 take as long as initial 25 did. If same system stays in place though, it'll take is weeks if not months longer to reach 30 then another guild who does the SAME amount of stuff, but spread out over more time. maybe they raid 5 days a week and we do 3, but still kill all the bosses they do for example. you get the point there. :)
Mar 16th 2012 9:31PM My issue has always been the cap being daily. It should have been a weekly cap, period. Daily cap is a biased system to people who actually active 7 days a week. My guild for exaple, capped 3 days a week, we raid 3 days a week. We'd hit daily cap, then piss away THOUSANDS of experience in all the extra bosses we downed, then on off nights barely even get 50% of cap. We didn't do any less work then someone who say took 5 days a week to kill same amount of raid bosses, but yet they got more experience for it.
This has gotten further worse with things like heroics being weekly now. Heroics used to be daily, which divided fine in daily exp caps when queuing as guildies. But now when people pound out a bunch in a single day, again it's same problem as raiding, experience gets pissed away while other days suffer, all do to a silly cap system. If ANY cap is used, it should be weekly, just like every other cap in game pretty much is, VP, JP, CP, HP, guild rep. Why not guild experience?
Mar 9th 2012 4:32PM A dk couldn't kill a paladin? Block only mitigates melee attacks, Dks strongest weapon against a block tank is MAGIC attacks, what was that DK doing wrong? Dks should wreck a warrior or paladin block tank.
Mar 9th 2012 1:33PM Each month of World of Warcraft is $14.95. Multiply that by 84, and I've paid Blizzard $1,255.80
sounds like you overpayed, you should go 6 month pricing and save 2 dollars a month. :P
Mar 5th 2012 3:24PM the 377 blue's are apsolutely good enough. entry heroics were tuned around a 316-333ilvl at launch,a nd that was pre nerf. since then they have been nerfed to floor. to top it off, the 40 ilvl diffrence in the pvp gear give you a lot more stamina and base stat (int/str/agi) despite the loss in secondary stats resilience causes. in fact, i can promise you can take a 377 ilvl dps in pvp gear into raid finder and be top 5 dps just knowing how to play. (unless i get a group that has a bunch of 410 ilvl raiders in it heh).
However, replacing the 377 pvp gear with 378 HoT gear and 397 VP gear asap is a must if you intend to be serious at some point.
Mar 5th 2012 3:00PM I've turned in all 9 every fair, in fact this fair, it cost me a total of about 2k, for ALL 9. with highest being treatise for 1k. (it's gone down a lot isnce they hotfixed the bug where it wasn't dropping hwere it should be). The raid and PVP ones are a joke to get yourself, that puts you at 4 at no cost (raid one drops in LFR now btw, although you can probably get one off AH for less then 1 gold now as a result of that change). the 5 dungeon ones have gone up a little. but if you were smart and stockpiled them the first month you're set for months/years to come. If not. then yuo can sitll get them fairly cheap, 100-500g in most cases. You also had an entire month to farm them, none of which are really that difficult to get anymore. treatise is only one that actually requires heroic, the rest just require mobs b green. i could get an egg for example just soloing a level 80-81 dungeon.
Should the bug be fixed? apslutely. Is it gamebreaking? Only if you're not willing to spend more then 5 min a month actually TRYING to complete the achievement instead of complaining blizz put as much effort into fixing it as you did in getting it.
Feb 28th 2012 5:04PM the 10% buff has NOTHING to do with patch, that was all baked into 4.3.2. 4.3.3 is strictly client side stuff. the buff is controled at server level, we will not be recieving patches for each stack. it's just a coincidence we got a patch for 10%. The main thing was battle.net updates for their new ressurection program.
