Oct 4th 2011 9:17AM I handle 2 sons by myself as MM too. I start off by spamming Steady on Rag to try and get a free insta-Aimed, then use it on one (if I can't get the instant, a normal Aimed still works, just not as quickly), then switch to the other and fire a Chimera with one or two Steadies. Careful Aim pretty much guarantees that the Aimed Shot son is gonna be moving pretty damn slow and I have no trouble getting the other down before it gets to the hammer. Given, I always get the 2 farthest adds, but it's still pretty easy.
Definitely play the spec you enjoy most, I just could never get into BM this xpac (and the lower dps didn't help my interest).
Sep 28th 2011 4:47PM Paladin armor is absolutely amazing. Possibly good enough to be the new T2 standard.
Seriously though, wtf were they thinking with the hunter set? At least T13 looks pretty good.
Sep 20th 2011 5:11PM So happy we managed to get our Rag 10m normal kill last week before the nerf. Personally I think it's a little early for nerfs, but I'd also like to see heroic Rag (my guild took a month or two just to get normal Rag down).
Jul 29th 2011 4:58PM If you can't raid Firelands, isn't it still better than anything else you can get outside of a hunter/feral weapon? It's still good, just not on par with 378 weapons, which it shouldn't have ever been in the first place.
Jul 28th 2011 4:37PM I really don't understand the complaints about this other than from a PvP perspective. I've been playing hunter for 5-6 years now and I'd always used passive. Frost, I normally like your articles, but you're trying to make it sound like sending your pet to attack something is rocket science or brain surgery. Really all you have to do is hit CTRL+1 or SHIFT+T whenever you switch to a new target. Sure you may lose a few seconds of dps from your pet while switching targets, but with dash/charge/boar's speed, it's really not that much. I can understand the frustration of losing the old defensive stance on aoe pulls, but it's really not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. Making hunters have to pay attention to their pets isn't a bad thing, and keeping them on passive really doesn't require much thought to SHIFT+T whenever you switch targets.
Jul 26th 2011 2:14PM For what it's worth, Flaming Arrow isn't as awesome as it sounds and really isn't that big of a dps boost.
Jul 24th 2011 1:33PM You also forgot that anything red on the island will be referred to as "fiery."

Jun 30th 2011 11:15AM I was on my flying mount this morning, landed, lost 90% health and got the Going Down achievement. Was very strange.
Jun 24th 2011 1:41PM While hunters are generally in a good place, they're nerfing Careful Aim to scale back MM damage but all 3 specs, including the already lackluster SV and BM, are affected by it. Both SV and BM don't scale well and are going to see even lower participation in Firelands but there's been almost nothing done to change them in 4.2 (ooh, Black Arrow got buffed, that's just to encourage players to use it over Explosive Trap on single targets).
My main concern going into 4.2 though is that Aimed Shot scales much better than Arcane Shot and sims are showing that we're going to go back to hard-casting Aimed Shot once we start acquiring Firelands gear. This obviously doesn't seem like Blizzard's intention, so I'd love to hear what they plan to do to keep hunters a mobile class as opposed to a turret.
