Aug 11th 2011 10:31PM I also vote for AdiBags. It's what ArkInventory should have been before it bloated out into the mess it is now.
It doesn't have as much configurability as Ark, but that's okay, because it does mostly everything right by default.
Aug 11th 2011 11:58AM This is an urban legend that has spread in pandemic (ha ha) fashion in the WoW community. China currently has no laws whatsoever on depictions of pandas in any form, only the typical endangered species laws for real-life pandas.
The delay of Wrath in China was two-fold. One, the Chinese government censors took issue with all the bones and skeletons, so a huge chunk of art assets had to be completely redone. The other more major cause of the delay were two separate divisions of the Chinese government (the General Administration of Press and Publication and the Ministry of Culture) getting in a pissing match over who had jurisdiction over the game, and in the process yanking NetEase's license to operate the game servers in China.
Aug 11th 2011 11:47AM Shahmuhn is the generally-regarded-as-correct pronunciation.
Shaymin is a damn Pokemon.
Aug 8th 2011 3:31PM Ah, this brought back a lot of memories.
Horrible, horrible memories.
Jul 6th 2011 11:35AM I was going to say the same thing. Maybe his timeline is counter-flow to the normal timestream.
Clearly the Queue writers haven't watched Doctor Who recently.
Jul 6th 2011 11:31AM I think you answered your own question. Or at least your browser/virus scanner did.
Envelope information on an email (like the from address) is easily faked and can't be trusted. No doubt the phisher just copied the legit email (envelope and all) and just changed the link.
Jun 22nd 2011 11:54AM It's a hard question to answer, because the world is compressed for gameplay purposes. For example, Northrend is supposed to be several hundred miles from west to east, but clearly it's not so in game.
A while back, someone figured the in-game size of the two main continents to be about 80 square miles:
There are games with more "realistic" sized worlds (Asheron's Call, LOTRO, Elder Scrolls series), but I find this property to be overrated. You either spend tons of time running somewhere (which is not fun), or you get teleported everywhere (which defeats the purpose of an expansive game world). One thing I like about WoW's game world is that even though it's compressed, you still feel like you're engaging in an epic journey.
