Mar 24th 2012 1:21AM So valley of the four winds. Does this mean a return of Al'akir? maybe the replacement windlord? i always thought "of the for winds" meant "belonging to Al'akir", but does it mean something different?

Mar 16th 2012 5:14PM QfortheQ: Will blizz put fel reavers in pandaria? they tried something of the sorts with the storm giants in howling fjord and the whale sharks in vashir, so they clearly want to encourage something like them. The problem is that the whale sharks and storm giants were no where near where a player would go. they did not go anywhere near quest hubs or quest objectives, and didn't even touch the roads. I loved having fel reavers in hellfire because it showed that there was something in the world more powerful than you, and it wasn't confined to a cave waiting for 10 to 40 people to say hello in order to do anything. I didnt level to 70 until 2.3.0 (yes the duskwallow revamp got me back into the game) and dont remember the fel reavers being hard to evade. i died twice to a fel reaver and 20 times to those helboars. I think wow is missing mobs that give you a sense of place. something as simple as putting a flying mob that will kill you if you fly a fel reaver not shoved into a corner or a patrolling horde/alliance army will help give players a sence that there is a possibility of dieing in the world

The Queue: Never say no to panda {WoW}

Mar 15th 2012 6:08PM so wowinsider(http://wow.joystiq.com/2012/03/01/scrolls-of-lore-explores-potential-mop-details/) posted a link to a a scrolls of lore(http://www.scrollsoflore.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21125) forum thread that had a translation of some Q&A's on the official blizzard Taiwanese and Chinese forums. There was one question and answer that caught my eye.

From google translate:
Q. Since we are not in the mystery of the "Panda" to add Leo Ballard and Wintergrasp field battlefield. Whether we have a plan designed to encourage world PvP?
A. We are considering something related to, for example, you capture the enemy's territory (eg, crossroads) for some time, or kill an enemy leader, you can when the Zhou conquest points upper limit additional points. We also plan to add some PvP objectives in the Panda Leah.

From Scrolls of lore:
Q: Since in Mists of Pandaria, there’s no world PVP zone like Tol Barad or Lake Wintergrasp, then how are you going to enhance the world PVP activities?
A: We are trying to figure out some other ways. For example, let the players to seize the enemy’s territory, or kill the enemy’s leader. And if they made it, they would be able to increase the upper limit of the conquest points that week. And of course, we are going to add more PVP objectives in Mists of Pandaria as well.

I don't recall blizz saying anything about capturing territory and killing leaders, but if they did just ignore my ramblings. First off they are looking at rewarding world pvp by having it effect your conquest cap among other possibilities. Second they are looking at making a shifting front with territory changing hand.
I think this is very interesting because it will be a really fun, engaging, and completely voluntary(except for the 3 people leveling alts in the barrens) way to put the War back in Warcraft. I am very much looking forward to seeing a method of gaining honor that isn't Capture the Flag.
However, this can be a balancing nightmare. How would blizz balance imbalanced realms? how could blizz use phasing to prevent a ganking nightmare? maybe they could use remote quest turn in? How will they balance the guards in the cities? how will they deal with phased areas? where would you like to see this "capture the keep" or "kill the important NPC" style of world pvp implemented? How will they incentive this? Should they only allow this in contested zones, or should they allow it in horde (they mention crossroads) or alliance focused zones? Should they allow factions to siege cities? should they allow flying? should they implement siege viechles? pursched guild siege vehicles? guild gunships? new settlements for this new world pvp? re-implimation of old sithilus/wpl world pvp? should this be used in outland/northrend/bc starting zones? siege twilight hammer/scourge/other unaffiliated faction settlements?
discuss

TLDR: blizz said they want to allow sieging of settlements. Do you like or hate this idea?

This shows blizz is thinking about making the world more dynamic by having a shifting front. This could help alleviate the problem alliance have in the old world and give level capped players a chance to see the world. This is a great idea to foster world pvp while being elective for those in pve servers

Feb 16th 2012 1:11PM Q for the Q:
Where did the scourge get their Gargoyles? I've been all throughout northrend, and have not seen a single wild Gargoyle. Are they golems of sorts made alongside abominations? Are they titanic creations? If they are titanic in origin, then why isn't an organization like the explorer's league all over them. That would mean they are the only being able to switch between stone form and curse of the flesh form at will(unless you count the dwarf racial which makes their skin more stone-like). I know they aren't the most compelling enemies in the lich king's arsenal, but i think the traits traits of gargoyles are dismissed as something found in all fantasy gargoyles when they are in fact something much more.
