Apr 1st 2012 3:55AM After the Drunken skills fiasco, I can see this happening.
Mar 29th 2012 6:28PM wtb orc with moustache :3
Mar 28th 2012 5:44PM My worst tank? It was in Deadmines, while playing Alliance (for some reason, all my bad experiences in dungeons are from Alliance runs n_nU).
All of us was pulling aggro from the human warrior tank like he wasnt there. Even from the one he was attacking. When asked about his spec, he answered: "wut's that? o.o" Some of the players called him a noob and even someone left, but we tried to explain to him a little quick thing about protection warriors and specs (and aggro). After a somewhat decent explanation, he kept pulling stuff. He said "it sounds complicated, ill check it out later" We tried to convince him to at least use the points, but he didnt want to, because he wanted to kill the bosses in the dungeon. We left after 2 unnecessary wipes.
Another human warrior, tanking Scarlet Monastery with a spirit staff. An a human holy paladin trying to tank Dire Maul :(
Mar 27th 2012 8:24PM To catch them is in beta test
To train them is my cause :D
Mar 25th 2012 10:28PM @ Jaq: Im not saying Metzen himself has to go and drop all the details on their story. Im saying they could at least try to present the idea with more details and hints, whitout really giving away any spoilers. Anne's post does exactly that, and she doesnt say anything spoilerific, and Terrant explains it better, "fans and fan sites like WoW Insider are filling in the logic and thematic gaps as best they can", something Blizzard himself should actually do =/
Still, great article :)
Mar 25th 2012 8:18PM This is interesting, but it also shows me a big flaw of Blizzard:
When I read the news of Garrosh, i was annoyed of the perceived notion of Garrosh being a Vehicle for Thrall's road into Jesus osf Azeroth. If Metzen , or whoever at least TRIED to explain the whole situation just as your article does, there would A LOT less people complaining, and realizing there is a plan, and a well-written story behind the whole situation.
But instead, they let people to speculate, and rage.
Mar 25th 2012 11:14AM Well, my friend played in Vanilla and BC. I actually met him in a pserver. We stuck together while playing, whenever i went to a better guild or something, we usually went both of us. If he wasnt accepted, then i quit and looked for one we could play as a team :D
When I came to retail, he told me he played here, but all the people he knew left the game already. He wasnt thrilled to play and pay again, so i sent him a 7-day trial. He started playing a blood elf warrior, he started questing.. and realized the quests are very different, and really fun to do :D then he updated and tried a month. He started with a goblin mage, and he got hooked up :P
Too bad all this happened a little bit before the SoR promotion, but hey, at least a friend came back to play :D
Mar 24th 2012 2:54PM "playing a character that doesn't really fit within the canon of the Warcraft universe"
I try to roleplay a simple human hunter guy, with normal reactions.
For some reason, nowadays that doesnt really seems to fit in Warcraft storyline D:
As i was creating my new character in Moon Guard, i realized most of the bios there are people that like to be like "half drae nei, half orc-vampire", or "half vampire, half draenei-orc". I like to RP, but sometimes when i socialize, it seems that being way over the top, is the norm :(
Mar 23rd 2012 9:16PM is the water surrounding her a hint of how is theramore destroyed (a Horde-made tsunami)? o.o
Mar 23rd 2012 6:07PM Oh my god. Tons of misinformed opinions and info missed by not reading the books. This is the result of the mess was cataclysm: People get to miss the greater picture and think of Garrosh as simply stupid, while he is actually very complex. He is learning on the road, he doesnt deserve this at all. And worst of all, he falls into disgrace, while the guy who put him there in the first place, gets to be happy with his wife and children.
I might be one of the few, but i dont really want to lose one of the most developed leaders in Cataclysm. One with flaws and plenty of mistakes, but learning from them, and defining him much better than all the other leaders around. It's just not fair to lose him for the biggest Mary-sue in game.
