Mar 28th 2012 2:59PM "Arvind Bhatia is quoted on the game industry website as saying that Blizzard's product pipeline includes "expansion packs for StarCraft and World of Warcraft, a new Diablo game, [and] a new casual MMO." That casual MMO is of course Titan, the secretive WoW followup that has reportedly gobbled up Blizzard's most experienced designers."
Actually, they have stated it will be a casual MMO. As to how "casual" it will end up being in practice remains to be seen.
Jan 23rd 2012 1:08PM Basil, you really just need to own up and give them the credit they deserve. I went to Warcraftlounge and read the commenter in question, and your article is LITERALLY the exact same points made by this person, but reworded. Everyone makes a poor decision once in a while, but making excuses like "No, I don't read your site so I couldn't have copied that post" makes you look foolish to your readers. In any other aspect of life, if you write something that happens to be the same thing that someone else wrote a week ago, you don't feign ignorance when called out about it, you own up, apologize and move on having learned something.
Jan 19th 2012 1:33AM I understand that the nerfs can be frusterating, what the large majority of players that want the difficulty to stay the same forget is that the buff can be turned off, so any complaints are rendered invaild. It all comes down saying you want it to be harder, but when prompted to turn off the buff, most are just gonna say, "Eh, I guess we'll just leave it on".
Dec 7th 2011 4:49PM I find it MUCH easier to have everyone except the tank start attacking Mannoroth once Illidan starts tanking him. The tank can take care of the adds easily by himself with the light from Tyrande, and everyone wailing on Mannoroth procs Magistrike Arc MUCH more often then if you just let illidan do it.
Oct 22nd 2011 2:46PM The problem with saying that they're comparable is that the frost sample size is so small, it's not close to accurate. A little over a 100 samples? That means super geared/extremely skilled/lucky procs could greatly skew the numbers. By having a large sample size, you eliminate those variables. It's like testing on a target dummy as frost 10 times, then doing it again as arcane, but 100 times. Even if the numbers are close, it's not accurate because you need the same amount of test samples to show the intricate s and averages of the specs. Great article, look forward to reading the next one :)
Sep 29th 2011 12:31AM While the think the dungeon its self was pretty fun, it's not very challenging... I did it on a few different toons yesterday with nothing but pick-up groups who all know as little as I did about them if not less, and we only wiped 1 time between all 3 runs. Hell, the healer even died in like the first 30 seconds fighting Slyvanas, and the tank and I dpsed her down by ourselves, with me throwing a few heals his way when he needed them. Not entirely sure I understand the mechanic behind the last boss either, we only got the buff once, and we weren't sure how we did it... lol
