1,000 guilds have killed heroic Ragnaros {WoW}

Nov 19th 2011 11:24AM Go ahead, finish regular content. That's what it's for. As for heroic content, if you can't finish it, maybe it's not for you.

Aug 3rd 2011 5:19PM Let me explain this really slowly for you, Swifteye. It seems difficult for you to understand.

Many guilds allow a "sign up" format for raids instead of required attendance. Typically, they're larger, casual guilds with enough people to throw together a 10 man even if the lineup shifts a bit throughout the week. These are people that aren't necessarily able to be there for four hours a night, four days a week and, when you get enough of them in a guild, you can typically raid two to three nights per week with some stated absences and unavailability.

Yeah, and people who don't min/max are doing their run a disservice by not doing the absolute most tps/dps/hps that they can. They also look like asshats because one could easily assume that they don't know how to properly itemize their character, therefore indicating a lack of knowledge of the basic game mechanics.

Are you sort of understanding now, or do I need to break it down for you even further?

Aug 3rd 2011 11:18AM I've been away from the game for a very long time (like, I pretty much
bought Cataclysm, leveled a character to 85, raided a LITTLE BIT, and
quit again) and I've been thinking of coming back. The main reason for
quitting the game was because I used to be a hardcore, world top 150
raider and graduating college/entering the professional world/having
to wake up at 6:30 every morning no longer facilitated that lifestyle.
I was uncomfortable with the idea of playing casually, so the game no
longer felt fun.

I'm more comfortable with the idea of playing casually now, so I'd
like to come back. However, I'm wondering if there are any guilds out
there that have what I'm looking for. I'm really into min/maxing and I
think players who don't min/max for raids are, frankly, irresponsible.
Like I said, though, the guild would have to be rather casual with a
moderately lax attendance. I play soccer in an adult league and will
occasionally have work to catch up on/date nights/real life things in
general that I need to do throughout the week.

Are there guilds out there that accommodate working, IRL-social adults
that need an elemental shaman :)? Does what I described
actually...exist? Faction and server are irrelevant, though I will say
I live in Florida and can't really do a PST guild if it raids super
late :(.
