Dec 16th 2011 10:56AM I should add to that the token is not item-specific, it can be turned in for a Neck piece or a T13 Chest piece or even a second Chest piece if you wanted to gem it differently for your off spec. Another advantage of this is that, for example, a warrior can clear it as DPS to gear up their tank spec so they can tank it too without having any negative consequences on the real tanks in the run.
Dec 16th 2011 10:52AM The best way to solve 1-4 is to award each player in the raid a BoP satchel for killing a boss, hence no rolling at all. The satchels have a 15% chance to drop a BoP token which can be turned in to a vendor for an iLvl 384 item (BoP). The other 85% of the time you get a gem or a flask or similar.
Nov 15th 2011 5:11PM The GCD is a requirement for an MMO. SWTOR has one too.
Oct 28th 2011 4:29PM @Kurash, I agree for me its about "content". I bought in during Vanilla WoW after playing mainly RPGs like Baldur's Gate and enjoyed more content in WoW than I could ever reach. But now, with Cata and my raiding guild, I have experienced every ounce of content pretty soon after its released. Blizzard's quest designers and encounter designers are the best in the world, bar none, telling engaging stories with heartfelt moments and lots of giggles. I feel Blizzard is "copping out" when they add features like Heroic raid modes, achievements and pet battles which require little or no involvement from the creative wonders of their teams.
Sep 23rd 2011 2:57PM The bottom of the blog says "Look at the price history for Embers on your realm", but how do I do that given that Undermine Journal only goes back 14 days (e.g. http://theunderminejournal.com/item.php?realm=A-Bloodhoof&item=69237)?
Aug 18th 2011 12:04PM Q4TQ: In regards to the new tanking threat changes, GC states "we want to shift more tank mitigation to require active management". Why would they buff tank threat *now* but without any of the other desired changes needed to keep tanking "fun"? I don't tank raids, but I still pride myself on my tanking abilities in dungeons and I don't want to be bored tanking waiting for my abilities to be updated to make tanking fun again.
Aug 18th 2011 11:42AM I did some number crunching. BC has 49 raid bosses. WotLK has 53 raid bosses. As of patch 4.2 Cata has 21 raid bosses. I recognise an expansion is much more than just raids, but both BC and WotLK had very significant non-raid content added too. My current dissapointment is because when I purchased the Cata expansion I had the same expectations in terms of scope as BC and WotLK. Perhaps I will still be pleasantly surprised with what is yet to be released in Cata but in my heart I just feel that to be unlikely.
