I think you need to look past FEB and more towards June/July to see the true impact TOR has.

I imagine a high percentage of those pre-orders are from people who play wow now so it will take a hit... but how many will go back?

I used to play WoW every day (more or less) and for me it just came to a point were i was bored sh*tless with the game. I still think it is a quality product and you can't fault them for the polish... i'm just bored... its like loving stake but if you have it every day eventually you'll get bored with it and crave something else.

TOR is probably just WoW with lightsabers... but if is it fun and well made, perhaps that is what people will like about it.

I think it is harsh to say they lied... perhaps they were just being economical with the truth ;)

Nov 17th 2011 8:44AM That Chinese screenshot looks really cool :)

Will be interesting to see how much of a hit the western subs take when TOR/GW2 comes out... and what happens when MoP is released (when ever that it).

I think WoW is along way from being dead, but perhaps its start is starting to fade...

PAX 2011: SWTOR Alderaan PvP session captured on video {Massively}

Aug 28th 2011 1:25PM I like that I've seen so far from TOR. You can complain that is nothing new or innovative, but I think 1st and foremost Bioware want this game to be a hit so they are going to aim to satisfy the most common denominator (i.e. make is seem accessible and familiar to WoW players) so who can really blame them for sticking with what they know works.

Once the game is live, who knows how the game will develop. WoW isn't the same game now that it was when it launched... the one plus points to mmo is that they can change and develop over time.
