Why is Blizzard still OK with gender inequality in World of Warcraft? {WoW}

Apr 3rd 2012 5:30PM @Nadia
Ok it is this kind of post that really makes me think people read into stuff WAAAAYYYY too much.

I pretty much agree with what Jacatola said, in either case they are being objectified and in either case he's saying they are popular with the opposite sex. He's using very common phrases to say that too so I just can't see the problem here.

It's also probably phrased that way because in most cases (talking about hetero relationships here) the man is the one who first approaches the woman. Say what you will about that being a sexist remark but all it takes it to hang out in a bar or similar establishment a few nights to prove that observation.

Apr 3rd 2012 5:18PM Well I certainly agree with you about making something out of nothing. I really don't see how this deserves it's own freaking article on here either. He's calling females gorgeous and males tough guys, big woop! He's a warlord who is used to getting his way and who is used to saying what ever he is thinking. He's not using some offensive language he's saying gorgeous. Is being called attractive in PC and good natured terms a bad thing?

I think people just need to grow thicker skins.

Apr 3rd 2012 4:45PM Well sure saying that to some random woman on the street is weird but that's not exactly what this is. You are walking up to some powerful warlord who's philosophy is to be more aggressive and say what's on his mind. I'd say he's trying to pay your character a compliment to increase the chances of you joining him.

I really think this is making a mountain out of absolutely nothing (yes even less than a mole hill!)

SSX review: The odd couple {Joystiq}

Feb 28th 2012 6:55PM "The nine major drops are especially frustrating, requiring repeated, agonizing playthroughs to pass and rarely bringing any fun at all to the experience."

Um are you serious? I was thinking that the major drops are way too easy for how much they build them up. This reviewer has obviously never played the other SSX games and I just can't take this seriously. Been playing all day and (as a long time SSX fan) I absolutely love it.
