Oct 22nd 2011 12:27PM Q for the Q:
If this has already been asked or explained I am sorry. I have very slow internet onboard my ship so its hard to get all the updates. After hearing about the Talent revision and seeing a couple of screen shots how are they handling different spec's? Those talents do show anything saying "just for Frost mage" or anything like that. So does this mean that there are no specs? Or that gear is the only thing that will set you apart? Thanks for your help.
Oct 17th 2011 6:31PM Try this. If what you really want to do is play with her and explore the new content. Then to prove that to her tell her that you will delete your main if she logs in with you. This way she knows that your not lying. Also, you could set a general rule that you wont play without her. Goodluck
Sep 24th 2011 7:01PM This is true. I have heard ideas like this. The more you dodge the more threat you generate or somthing, but they would need to do something about damage mitigation because at it stands one good hard hit from a boss and the Rogue would go down like a bag of bricks. lol
Sep 24th 2011 5:59PM I think it could work actually. And the other class's could in fact fill the other roles as well. With the exception of Rogues....they will probably stand to be the last and only Pure DPS. Hunters and Locks could...theoretically be tanks and mages could become healers (Locks could also heal actually...siphon from the enemy and give to the party.)
In Rift they did this very well. I cant remember all the mechanics for it, but basically they hit the enemy and players got healed for it.
Lore wise Blizzard has been creating new things for the game all the time. Its past the RTS days...this is a living breathing world now that is growing and evolving. If some mage somewhere discovers how to heal it wouldn't be difficult for other to learn and become Healing Mages, besides I think it would be a great time to add something new to the mix besides Nature and Holy healing.
Sep 21st 2011 11:07PM Why not have MC on a player do what it normally does plus you can use a few select abilities as well, but when using it on an NPC it makes it your pet. That would be amazing CC that everyone would love.
Sep 20th 2011 6:02PM I know exactly how they can fix the tree form thing. Make a talent or a trainable ability be an aura (the same one you had when you were in tree form or something else...doesnt matter really) and make a glyph that states you will transform into a tree while the aura is active. Maybe they can even have different glyphs for different types of trees. Also, the glyph should be a minor.
