Dec 1st 2011 1:30PM I'm sure there are lots of them out there, but the rules we made up after the first season were that you take a drink anytime one of the following happens:
-Bear tells a story (typically relating true stories of people in similar survival situations)
-Bear has an art shot in which he considers the beauty of the natural world and his place in it
-Bear says "I need to get my bearings"
-Bear says "Disorientated"
-Bear gets naked
-Bear purposely puts himself into a dangerous situation to show you how to survive it
-It's getting dark and Bear needs to prepare a shelter
-Bear eats something disgusting/raw. If both, drink double.
-Bear drinks or otherwise ingests his own urine
-Bear spouts a clearly British pronunciation ("vitamins" is the typical example)
Like I said, there are probably a lot of other variants with a lot more rules, but we found ourself pretty well on the way by the end of an episode with just these rules.
Dec 1st 2011 12:25PM If I were playing the Man vs. Wild drinking game to this video, I'd already be drunk. This is a pitch-perfect parody, and I can't decide if it's more impressive or hilarious.
Nov 25th 2011 3:25PM You can't overcome adversity without the adversity being present. I've always found Jaina Proudmoore to be a fascinating character, and I'm excited to see what emerges for her and the other heroes of the Alliance. I fail to see how any reason to complain about that. Once again, the Horde is ready for chaos and madness to descend that we might rise all the stronger from its ashes. And once again, the Alliance is crying about how hard their lives are.
Nov 23rd 2011 5:12PM Further smoke screens. If Murazond isn't doing anything to threaten you or the timeline, then you have no reason to kill him.
Nov 20th 2011 1:41AM Oh God, a link to TV Tropes. Nice knowing you, Saturday night.
Nov 9th 2011 2:31PM Not sure if this is significant, but I'm currently unable to connect because I hadn't finished downloading the 4.3 patch, and won't be allowed to connect until the Background Downloader finishes acquiring and applying it. I had been playing this morning, so this is something that's emerged int he past 3-4 hours. Didn't see anything in the news about it, thought I'd mention it.
Oct 25th 2011 10:24AM All roleplaying aside, I have to say one of the things I've always liked about the Warcraft universe is how closely people identify with certain factions. That the op of this thread has been upvoted and that mine has been downvoted to hell in a pro-Alliance post is a good thing. That's what I want MoP to deliver on; the Alliance/Horde conflict *should* be in the spotlight.
Oct 21st 2011 7:46PM I'm curious about this, too. Seeing as how talents are being completely and totally retooled, it's not outlandish to think that Rogue skills like Deadly Throw could pretty much up and vanish.
