2012 World of Warcraft Arena Pass coming soon {WoW}

Apr 4th 2012 5:01PM lol I have been rolled by and defeated those with 'superior' gear in arena. I think people miss out on the important thing... just have fun! It actually wasn't *less* fun to lose then it was to win. It was more epic and exciting but at the same time I have always picked up a new trick or just in general learned something new every time I have stepped into the arena. That is more important to me then being the absolute best, mostly because the best didn't get that way by whining their gear wasn't as good as others. They got there because they had fun and continued to learn how to be the best.

I look forward to seeing you in the arena! And no, don't hold back even if I lose I will learn something very important there.

2012 World of Warcraft Arena Pass coming soon {WoW}

Apr 4th 2012 1:02PM This will be my first year doing it.... I am soooo excited! :D So can you only choose characters you already have or do you get free reign to pick any characters? I wouldn't mind dinking around on top level of the classes I have been not really wanting to level just to see if I should actually work on it more.

Why is Blizzard still OK with gender inequality in World of Warcraft? {WoW}

Apr 3rd 2012 5:08PM It was most likely a man that wrote the text... why do I say that? Because guys think it's hilarious.

Case in point, in Minnesota (I believe it was at least) a new public building opened (I believe it was a court house) with lovely glass stairs. Except no one paused to think about that glass stairs meant that you could view up ladies skirts. Women were basically told to either wear pants or shorts under their skirts. Men thought it was hilarious. So many of my male friends were talking about how it was the perfect design.

Until I pointed out that if their wives, daughters, mothers, sisters, aunts or nieces had to work there on a daily basis and someone looked up their skirt they would be out for blood. And every single one of them agreed with me, that it wasn't funny thinking that their loved one could be victimized like that.

See this is how our male counterparts work. They can find humor in pretty much anything - until that anything happens to someone they love and respect. Random bimbo at the bar gets felt up? Laugh about it. Your sister gets felt up a the bar? Your ready to punch his lights out.

Now this isn't true for every guy out there, many of them would be just as outraged by a random girl at the bar and their sister. But many of them would still think the random girl was funny and would have probably said something like 'if she didn't want to get felt up she shouldn't have dressed sexy and done shots'.

As a society we have a long way to go.

Mar 30th 2012 3:14PM Q for the Q

With all the new fangled options for new characters - has blizzard said anything about established characters? I really have no intention of paying $150 (10 characters x $15 each) in order to play around with the new options. I know I have only seen the Pandaren options but I have a hard time believing they will make ONLY the Pandaren character have the new options ui available.

Mar 20th 2012 10:26PM I kept thinking of Yoda and wondered why this is in a WoW movie... lol I think a more 'normal' voice would be better because you don't want to distract from the actual lesson. I think a lot of people need this as sitting and watching this is faster then reading a book so thank you... although I love reading the books myself ;)

Officers' Quarters: Guild transfer anxiety {WoW}

Mar 20th 2012 4:40PM Perhaps a better idea is to recruit players to your server. After having a hard time finding a new rogue for our progression guild we started to look around to other servers. We tried them out with the real-id raiding of HM Firelands so we could actually see them in action and see if they would be a good fit first then invited them to server change to join our guild. It was neater then trying for our entire guild to switch realms. You have to realize there are many people looking for a new server. You see people roll an alt all the time and start poking around to see the economy and what raiding is like. I think you should give this a chance before the entire guild changing realms.

Mar 14th 2012 6:21PM what do you expect? The sundering happened 10k YEARS ago, when the world was torn apart it is in fact likely that the tauren were torn apart and each developed into their own. You only have to look at Biology and history to see that has happened on Earth. Variations of the same animals that adopted to their own climate and circumstance over time.

Mar 12th 2012 10:10AM Another option is to make your guild into a leveling guild, get it leveled with players that you like. As people finish leveling and gearing they might show interest in casual raiding. It would give you time to level up alts that you want to play, get to know people and see if they would be interested in end game content. When you are getting to the point of filling your roster you guild will be higher level and easier to recruit. In the mean time you can run pugs with those who are geared to see Firelands (you won't have a problem filling that roster! people still want legendaries!) and as you run those pugs you might find raiders that will be willing to join your guild. I have to say people will leave level 25 guilds to go raid the way they want to.

I am in a progressive raiding guild (although I am more of a fill in then a regular raider) and in a max level guild, my husband left because the raid team's style just wasn't his. After pugging several times with his current guild he left and joined them, they were barely into the double digits. He liked the perks of my guild but the desire to raid his way was higher and more important.

The Queue: You'll have to move fast {WoW}

Mar 11th 2012 10:03AM I believe it's more for pvp then PVE. I play a frost mage in PvP if I get silenced while casting frostbolt I can still use my frostfire abilities, conversely if I am interrupted casting frostfire I get locked out of all my abilities. Which is why you don't cast frostfire bolt, you wait for it to proc.

On the other had some classes are screwed through silences. Best way to defeat a HPally is to keep them constantly spell locked as they only have one ability not tied to their Holy school and thats crusader strike.
