Jan 30th 2012 4:43PM There is one huge thing that makes 25m rewards better. Legendaries. A player doing the quest for a legendary will be able to get the required items MUCH faster on 25m as opposed to 10m. For example, I did 10m Heroic Alysrazor and only received 25 seething cinders for my kill. My friend doing 25m Heroic Alysrazor got 62 cinders. It is the same way with rogue gems for their legendary daggers. In 25m you essentialy get the legendary in less than half the time it takes somebody running a 10m raid to get it. This is the only reason that I am still on the second stage of my staff. That, and we didnt start raiding until halfway through the expansion, but regardless 25m gets theirs much faster.

Jan 27th 2012 2:52PM uhhhh....just turn down particle density??? personally i think a glowing weapon looks pretty badass, power torrent is one of my favorite looking weapon enchants.

Jan 4th 2012 3:59PM First of all, especially in normal mode, an elementium bolt should never even hit the ground when Nozdormu is active. Your dps should be on it as soon as it is available, its really not hard to get down before it hits.

Second of all, if you do not have Nozdormu up (which for us is only the last platform), you should have your raid stack at the back of the platform, and preemptively pop a few raid cds, while allowing your rdps to burn it down. Also, have your tanks pop personal cds here, and be as far away from impact as possible. If you are anywhere near the point of impact when it hits, you will die.

Also, on normal mode, unless you are a tank who pops a personal cd, Shrapnel WILL KILL YOU if you do not use the emerald dream. Personally, we pop bloodlust after the first set of adds are dead, burn the boss, kill the second set of adds, and ignore the third set. If you try and kill the third set of adds, you will most likely reach the enrage timer, unless you have exceptional dps.

Nov 21st 2011 4:55PM It looks like my best option right now would just to take all of the issues that we have had recently and add rules that would cover those situations should they arise again. I'm starting to think that we have a very faulty loot system as we run into problems like that on a regular basis. I guess I just have to add as we go along, and with the new patch coming up now would be a great time to do that so I don't have to change things mid-content.

Nov 21st 2011 2:05PM The problem with just giving it to the dk was that he was doing fine gear wise and performance wise. Seeing as the rest of the raid was in all 378+ that off-hand was really putting the warrior below the rest of us in dps. Now I'm sure there are some skill issues involved as well, because fury warriors are supposed to be one of the top dps right now, and he is constantly on the bottom. But I know how big of a chunk a weapon is for a fury warrior. Raid wise, I think we would benefit more from the warrior getting it, but since we don't run off of that type of a system, it was a little hard to make the decision.

Nov 21st 2011 10:19AM A problem that we have had recently is that we have a fury warrior with a 378 main-hand, but a 359 OH. We also have a dk tank and ret pally with the 378 axe off of shannox. We have a loot policy that for non-tier items, biggest upgrade takes priority. This left us in quite the quandary when we did heroic shannox and the 391 version of the same axe dropped. We weren't quite sure how to handle an off-hand issue, though I was inclined to give it to the warrior simply because warrior dps is so weapon dependent. What ended up happening is we just did an equal open roll on the 3 people who could use it, and the dk tank won the roll. Any thoughts on this?

Raid Rx: Firelands nerfs {WoW}

Oct 5th 2011 4:13PM Honestly Firelands bosses are a huge joke now. Before the nerf, my guild had all 6 dps doing 22k+ on Baleroc, with some dps doing around 30k. All of our healers were riding on oom when we downed him the first time. After the nerf, I took an alt group with a few pugs. The best dps was 17.5k with the lowest around 13k. We had a healer d/c mid fight, no bloodlust, and a recovery from a tank death, and we were still able to kill the boss with me at about 60% mana on my holy pally, and most of my cds unpopped. And this was an alt group...such a joke...
