Mar 26th 2012 11:44AM I guess it changed a bit.
In the days before the announcement of the new expansion pack me and my girlfriend were psyched! We were dreaming up all sorts of new, cool and awesome stuff - but the thing we wished for most was a new playable race : NAGA! I didn't know what they'd give the Alliance but I was puttin' all my money on nagas for the horde.....
Only to get pandamen. I swear I thought they were trolling us but it turned out they weren't. I got kinda pissed and kinda worried that the game I like so much is heading in this direction, but after sleeping on it I figured "Hey, It's Blizz, no need to worry."
I mean hell, it's not like it's an EA game....
The expansion seems to be heading in an awesome direction, and I guess I can stomache the pandas.... IF they give them a Jackie Chan voice I might even roll one!
We'll see how the male pandas are, but the verdict so far is that my perception of them changed for the better...slightly.
Mar 18th 2012 6:22PM I'd be suprised if they made Pandaren Alliance only, and Horde got Naga.
Happily suprised even.
Also, being able to bet/gamble would be suprising.
Mar 17th 2012 9:47AM I would wish for many things, it's hard to pick really. More lore for Blood elves and Draenei, maybe.... Lore from the books etc being in game?....meh I think I'll spend my one wish on something fun!
Here goes :
I would want an option to watch other people do arena matches....
....and then bet on the winner!
Like betting on horse races or boxers or whatever. We could have a goblin bookie, a snack vendor. It'd be awesome! Big neon signs! Scantily clad ladies in bunny suits with trays of alcoholic beverages. We could make it look real classy like, yeah!
If I can't bet on fights I'd go for a big casino type place, complete with slot machines and diner-time shows!
Okay, so much for my big Vegas pitch....
And if not that, I'd want some other form of gambling minigame - The Yakuza series has this and I always find it fun to play. Or perhaps a minigame like ff9's card game.
What.... A little gambling never hurt anyone, right?
Mar 13th 2012 6:09AM I haven't met many women in game - or perhaps I have and they hid it, which i can understand.
I can say my girlfriend is an altoholic and mostly dps'es and sometimes she heals. The only time she tanked was with her shaman of all things at lunar festival, because we wanted to down omen and I wasn't nearly high enough level.
Personally I think this view might have something to do with the way healers in traditional RPG's and such are displayed. I can't think of a single final fantasy game where the "white mage" wasn't a woman. On TV shows and in movies it's usually the woman who tends to the wounded group mates and such, and usually that woman is the heart of the group too. Now tell me the healer in our 5 man dungeon runs isn't the heart of the group :)
Feb 28th 2012 1:49PM I would love that function. I love the hurricane effect ( lightning and such ) but it's not exactly the best enchantment for a retribution paladin.
On the other hand I hate the Landslide enchantment because it looks rather suspicious when I'm flying around and a bunch of brown stuff flies right into the camera....
I'm just sayin'....
Feb 28th 2012 1:44PM There's a few places in WoW that I grew fond of.
First off is the Eversong Woods/Silvermoon City area. I leveled my first ever character there till level 22 (still my main). Everytime I go there it feels like I'm level 1 again and its the first time I laid eyes upon WoW. It will forever be home.
Dalaran is another place like that. It's the place where my character "grew up". He started doing dungeons and the ocasional raid, but mostly PvP. He was always that guy saying that the battle for Wintergrasp would start in x minutes. I still live up there, in the peaceful clouds, gazing at the night sky in between arena/bg/raid/dungeon queue's.
As for specific special places, Sunsail Anchorage and Salthiril's Haven in Eversong Woods.
Me and one of my best friends set out to 2 man most older content, and when we are victorious in our more difficult endeavors he ports us to Silvermoon where we stock up on booze and other such things. We then head on over to Saltherils haven to party and then finaly to Sunsail Anchorage to sit on the balcony in victory, watching as the moon lights the waters and shipwrecks. I drop my brewfest pony keg and brazier of dancing flames, and we just chat and party and bask in our victory.
Ocasionally a bunch of hooligans comes by to disturb the peace but those are only minor setbacks in our victory parties!
Jan 19th 2012 6:38AM My pick would be the Dissidia Victory Fanfare... For chaos!
