I really wish there was a hidden karma score on players that would slightly effect their game play. -3 to rolls, 1% less damage, increased durability accumulation rates. Things that are there but hard to detect and aren't documented by Blizzard. Make it $25 bucks to reset. You can either A. Not risk messing your karma up or B. Pay $25 bucks to reset your Karma which may or may not need resetting. It makes you ask the question "have I been good?" Did I lose that roll because I've been mean too often?
The point being to get players to think a little bit about their antisocial behavior (nerd rage) by adding the threat of consequence.
bah... pipe dream :)
Jan 17th 2012 5:06PM I hope they have some good world events leading into MoP. Zombies... Elementals... They better have Gummy Bears bouncing in the streets of Orgrimmar or something. :D
Jan 16th 2012 2:44PM The trouble with profession leveling is acquiring the mats. I think the solution is to remove the blockers. They're ok, IMO with the gathering skills. It's easy to level mining and herbalism (skinning could be better) while you level. The trouble is that if you're a blacksmith you have to hang around completed or low level zones mining just to advance blacksmithing. What if you could move on and mine higher level materials and use them to complete lower level patterns?
I like that the Inscription profession can trade high-level mats for low-level mats. However I think it would be even better if the recipes required x level of ink or higher.
Jan 12th 2012 11:24AM For level capped characters, make archeology skill more relevant than flight speed.
For lower than level cap characters, It should also reasonable to level Archeology some before you get epic flight. I spent many hours at max level 310 speed mount, guild mount buff, flying in straight lines between digs to level Archeology. Tell me that anyone less than 60 is going to level Archeology much using flight paths and ground mounts. One might make it to, maybe, 30 skill points before concluding it's a stupid idea without epic flight.
On the other hand there doesn't seem to be a point of leveling the skill on an alt (Unless it happens to be your lone alchemist--hope you picked up herbalism too because you're going to need more than just a few four-leaf-clovers).
Jan 5th 2012 5:21PM It would be interesting to see some changes that made the profession skill level more relevant than flight speed.
It would also be interesting to see some real motivation for leveling it on your non-alchemist alts too.
Funny Wowhead Canopic Jar comment: "Yo dawg I herd you like RNG items so we put an RNG item in an RNG item so you can grind while you grind."
Dec 28th 2011 2:58PM The RP and Storyline is epic. Anyone who says otherwise is a bit silly. However the actual fight in terms of game play left me longing for LK's icy fortress or Ulduar. Size isn't everything.
Don't get me wrong... it's not a dud or anything. It just doesn't top previous encounters. I'm not going to doomsay about the end of Blizzard or say that they're slipping in their old age. There's nothing to stop Pandaria from being better than the rest. It's natural for there to be ups and downs.
