May 1st 2010 8:57AM Didn't use to get any of these emails, then I posted a comment on here. I know have 4 a day!
Jan 22nd 2010 4:35AM I have two things to say on this issue.
Is there any evidence that MAC users get hacked less than PC users?
Secondly, According to Blizz most account hacks are to fund gold selling. If guilds introduced a 'no buying gold rule' like mine guild has, then eventually this problem would ease. If people had to choose between being in a guild or buying gold, then i'm sure less people would buy.
We, all, have a reponsibility to maintian our account/computer security and anything we can do to help Blizz makes the game better for us.
Nov 13th 2009 11:02AM Weekend warriors on Hellscream EU.
We pride ourselves on being parent friendly. One of our guild motto's is RL comes first. Having said that we raid 3 to 4 times a week, and sudden AFK's for kid emergencies are accepted as part of the game. We've been around as a social, casual raiding guild for 2 to 3 years now and it seems to be working.
Jun 2nd 2008 7:08AM Good article. Any chance of a similar one for shadow priest and come to think of it all classes?
Mar 27th 2007 10:15AM WOW is a MMORPG, the last three letters stand for role playing game. When was the last time anyone of you who play D&D, thought ok i'm about to go up against a dragon so i'll reorganise my feats.
Talents are there to represent you charecters specialisation as they develop and level. If you want to respec every ten minutes then you might as well be able to change you race and class at will etc. Talents are as integral to your charecter, as they race, not interchangable like your gear.
Dont'get me wrong, i know that holy priests are never going to be able to grind, but thats Blizz's fault for not providing enough +holy dam gear etc, and for making talents so specialised. Ideally, each class should have talents trees along the lines of (from a preists point of view)
Good at main task (Healing/holy)
Good at secondary task (shadow/dps)
ability to do both well.
Mar 27th 2007 4:10AM Lets face it, running a guild is hard work. However, its juts as hard work to run an club. As the chariman of my local archery club and previously a secretary in my bowls (lets the jokes begin) and airsoft club, i know from experience, that the issues a guild leader faces are the same aa any committee member of a club faces. The sooner people realise that a guild is a WOW club, the better.
Mar 20th 2007 5:12AM Once had to use "GTG chemical plant across the road has just gone bang" Logged off, logged back on a few hours later to a very worried guild."
Have also heard when running an instance, "how much longer guys, the wife's getting frisky!"
Mar 19th 2007 10:44AM I know not a lot of people like it, but i'd really like to see a heroic shadowfang keep. Love that place!
However, it'll never happen. I'd rather see more content added for 70's or new instances for lower levels than regiging the old ones. I mean, how redoing the old instances fit into the lore.
Mar 2nd 2007 4:43AM Fade does work, if your drawing aggro from the tank and then doesn't work its the tanks fault. Fade works by temporarily moving you down the aggro list. If no-one has aggroed the mob at all then fade won't work as there is no one for the priest to drop below on the aggro list. To prevent this the tank needs to switching targets, putting sunders on everyone etc, so he/she can build aggro with every mob.
Also as soon as you pop fade you need to hold of on the high threat spells, a quick round of renew on everyone to keep them topped up and sit back and let the tank build aggro again, so that when fade fades(?) you don't jump back up above them.
The thng i like to do is run towards the tank if i gain aggro, this brings the mob into range off more of a tanks aggro gaining abilities. As soon as the tank regain aggro, i get the flock out of there.
