Mar 31st 2012 10:48PM Tis sad, how everything will most likely will end up cookie cutter anyway.
Which is why the talent system overhaul ends up being fairly pointless.
Unless, of course, Blizzard designs it with a mindset to avoid the theorycrafters discovering all the best possible choices, sneaky-like. I hope they do.
Mar 13th 2012 4:42AM Coming with the new comment system, perhaps?
Mar 13th 2012 4:41AM Death by Mists of Pandaria news comes to mind.
There are worse ways to go :D
Feb 13th 2012 3:41PM Some really great stories here about how to try to explain WoW to non-players. It's a bit of a challenge explaining it to non-gamers especially, it seems.
My sister, who is 13, was curious about the game and wanted to know more about it and why I like it so much. I was home for the summer, and was raiding Dragon Soul. She came into my room suddenly when I was on Spine of Deathwing and was in awe that I was on a giant dragon's back with 24 fellow raiders, trying to get this giant armour-plated dragon to crash into a giant whirlpool in the centre of Azeroth.
I thought about it myself and realised yeah, that is actually really cool :D
Sometimes I guess it's easiest to show, rather than tell!
Feb 4th 2012 6:58PM I'd imagine it's something to do with emotional trauma caused by having the prince of your long-time allies commit a highly successful campaign of genocide against you and having your remaining civilization almost destroyed by your traitorous 'saviour' leader afterwards. Although the character populations don't reflect this, belfs are meant to be very few in number.
Dec 21st 2011 12:15PM Why yes, I do enjoy an unexpected agenda.
Last night, myself and a guildie raided Stormwind (we're Horde), trying to get the five last people for the Let It Snow achievement. Yes. Two of us, raiding Stormwind. It was a hilarious blast. Stormwind's Trade District was packed full of people at the time, all kinds of people, and there we were, just flying on on our flying mounts, creating havoc and going down in a blaze of glory.
I'm a protection Paladin so I was able to stay alive for a while, my friend is a Mage so he did not have so much luck. In the end, after causing a whole lot of chaos, we managed to get four of the five targets for the achievement. We were the target of much /hug and /love, which resulted in a fair few of those /hug-the-enemy-corpse achievements for the Alliance players. Achievement trading, perhaps? In the end, I only couldn't find a Dwarf Paladin.
Flying suicide invasion missions into the enemy's most populous area is hilariously fun.
Dec 19th 2011 1:59PM My 25 man guild was able to go to Dragon Soul as soon as it came because we were 3/7 heroic FL.. so this might not exactly be applicable but..
What seems to be the best idea in your situation, to me, is to just knock out Ragnaros (probably won't take as long as you think now that everyone has some extra goodies from 5 mans, VP and LFR), and then go into Dragon Soul, but continue getting staff bits on off nights. My guild usually raids 3 nights a week but arranged a special 4th night (10 man only) to get the legendary pieces for our 2nd legendary.
Dec 17th 2011 11:07AM oh gosh.. I'd love 5 mans to be gated like this!
But I don't think it's ever going to happen, unfortunately! :(

I would hardly call 12% avoidance 'useless'.
Dec 13th 2011 9:20PM So much complaining.
