Jan 30th 2012 8:27AM I've had experiences where someone overgeared for something made things more difficult - in two different ways!
The first being the overgeared player had no Azerothly clue how to do anything. They didn't cc when asked, or didn't have an idea what that meant, they ignored the basic rule of don't stand in the bad...those kinds of things.
The second sort of overgeared being not a good thing is the self righteous 'I'm gracing you with my overgeared and therefore godly presence' sort. The kind who basically tries to ignore the usual mechanics because they think their uber awesome dps is going to carry the group. This kind is more annoying.
Granted, my overall experience with someone who is overgeared has been positive, but that's not always the case!
Jan 19th 2012 11:55AM seaQuest DSV references would only make Mists way cooler than I already hope it is! That show was fantastic (until the final season, still a bit iffy on it).
There were some comments the other day in reference to challenge modes normalizing iLevels for gear. Does that mean I can equip anything and it'll be brought up to a certain iLevel or does that mean everyone entering a challenge mode dungeon would have the same stats regardless of equipment?
Jan 18th 2012 6:52PM I ran with a resto in 3s last season, they're great! Until...they get noticed. Out of all the healers I faced last season, I was really happy when it was a resto - burst DPS will eat them for breakfast.
Our resto leveled a priest to arena with us this season. Not saying they don't work for arena, but they do have their flaws - like any other class.
And, take this with a grain of salt. I only started arenas last season, aaaand my team is amazing meanwhile I remain a hopeless derp. It is really fun though!
Jan 18th 2012 8:31AM I've actually gotten to raid current content, while still relevant, for the first time since joining back in TBC. And actually want to do normal mode before Mists comes out!
The other plus, is I'm seeing a lot more pug raids for DS being formed, which is kinda neat. even though it has its snags, I would say LFR is having a positive effect on the game.
Jan 7th 2012 12:17PM I am female but most of my characters are male. I find them easier to role-play, actually! I'm not a girly girl in real life, so maybe that's part of it.
Also, pugs tend to assume you are the gender you are playing, and this will sound incredibly sexist...but in -my- experience healing dungeons, playing my female troll shaman gets me cussed at more often if I mess up than my male forsaken priest. Bleeeeh. Perhaps my poor shaman is just cursed with rude pugmates. Oh well!

It does exist I promise...i ran molten core for 14 months without any binding drop. A guildy runs it with me the week after he finishes thunderfury and the binding from Garr drops. Two weeks ago I run molten core on Monday. At this point I figured it would never drop, and I think that's the key, because baron finally coughed up the damn thing.
It took me 18 months bit it's so worth it. I hope your thunderfury doesn't take as long!
Dec 22nd 2011 12:27PM *would say. How I edit button?
Dec 22nd 2011 12:26PM Dear the Queue!
After 18 months of running Molten Core (though, not entirely through), I finally have my Thunderfury. Do you happen to know if Al'akir would say if I brought it to his raid, like Shade of Aran made a remark if you had Atiesh?
Dec 18th 2011 9:33AM I am happy about transmog, mostly. My Death Knight has a rather understated look, complete with swords. That I can only skin one, and only on my pvp set that uses swords. The other sword, the glowy mage sword from Molten Core, is main-hand so...I can't use the awesome skin.
Transmog is great. I'm glad Blizzard is finally letting us customize our characters, but it is a bit limited right now. Lift some restrictions and it'll be awesome!
