Mar 26th 2012 12:01PM Any idea on updated minimum system requirements to play MoP? I know the bigger the better, but my 5 year old desktop is struggling to hit 20 fps at most times on minimum settings as it is. Would like to know in advance if I'm going to need to purchase a new computer to continue feeding my addiction, lol. Thanks in advance for any info!
Mar 7th 2012 3:16PM Ok, here's my two cents.
I didn't start/keep playing this game for the annual bonus goodies. They were just a nice little something extra. While I agree that yes, it could have been more than a companion pet or gawdy tabard, I won't be losing any sleep over it.
My concern is more for this: "Oh hey guys! I'm level 80 and I've never tanked/healed before! Hope we don't die! Lololol!". I have been in multiple random groups with RaF...victims, I'll call them. And they didn't know their classes/specs from a hole in the ground. And it made all of said runs very slow and painstaking, each with multiple wipes on otherwise fairly simple pulls or bosses.
Perhaps if something was implemented like a training session or a dozen or something. But no, they're sending these fresh 80s out into the world with a PRE-ASSIGNED spec...talent points all done for you.
Call me elitist, say whatever you want, but...
This is really setting things up for a lot of failure in random groups.
Feb 21st 2012 11:33AM Warrior - Orc, Tauren
Shaman - Orc, Tauren
Hunter - Orc, Dwarf, Troll
Warlock - Orc, Forsaken
Mage - Blood Elf, Human
Rogue - Orc, Forsaken
Priest - Blood Elf, Draino
Druid - Tauren
Paladin - I guess all current options are ok. Taurens are kind of a stretch, though.
Death Knight - Who cares
Jan 16th 2012 3:17PM I know that, at least for me, it may take a few steps around in order to ensure that all mobs are in front of me (the tank), from where I can block/parry/dodge incoming attacks. However, once they're all fairly well established, yes, for the love of god, stand still. Also a nice idea on the Asira fight of you are using a hunter as a silence shield, which I have done numerous times. It's not an arena fight...you don't need to constantly be twitching around like you're on a Red Bull binge.
Jan 13th 2012 10:16AM I did cause a bit of a stir up, albeit momentary, in a Raid Finder group the other day. Rolled on, and won, something that I already had. I hadn't remembered I had already gotten the item at the time of the roll...tough to keep up with 10 characters worth of DS runs. Anyhow, I stated my mistake in raid chat before the next trash pull even began, and handed the item off to the second highest roll, no questions asked.
It seems like a lot of the time, people will roll need on stuff they don't really need, in hopes of trading it off to someone else that needs it IF they win a roll on something that the first person needs.
I have also seen on multiple occasions people winning rolls and then trading it off to a guildie, or even just someone else from their realm.
While I don't think the loot system will ever be flawless, it seems it could use some work.
[Conjure: My Two Cents]
Jan 9th 2012 10:07AM I have a few names that have stuck with me through the years (and servers) that I usually fall back on when nothing new and exciting comes to mind. A few examples are: Shadowsoul (warlock), Vandaleyes (rogue)...I'm especially proud of that one, Brawlzy (warrior), Ribs (can be any number of classes, currently DK, originally forsaken priest), Shatterer (paladin), so I can be Shatterer of the Shattered Sun, doesn't get much more belfy than that. I like puns and plays on words...as long as we're not talking things like cow references.
