I am a moron and did not realize what I was saying or what it meant. Now, I must defend myself by appearing erudite and condescending at the same time.

You're right, of course.
But given all the insanity in today's world, it wouldn't shock me, and frankly, I suspect it wouldn't shock most people, if something like that did happen. And it wouldn't be for merely ganking, but the ability to really infuriate or enrage someone with taunts while ganking and camping someone repetitively.
Nov 28th 2006 11:51AM More importantly, think of the potential for escalation of conflict in the real world. I know when I've been ganked and corpse camped by alliance that I have spewed forth many expletives, but couldn't effectively direct any personal attacks on the gankers because of the language barrier. I am sure if there was cross-faction communication you could have people taking insults and making insults far too personally, which could lead to "real world" fights (not too mention spamming the hell out of the general and trade channels). In a post-Columbine world, is it really that far of a stretch to think that members of opposite factions that happen to be in the same area of the world get so mad at each other in the game that they go seek vengeance after logging out? Sadly, I think that is entirely possible, and imagine the potential liability for Blizzard in the "fantasy world collides with real world" wrongful death lawsuit.
