Apr 4th 2012 11:17AM Are you sure they can not wield 1-handed swords? I haven't had a chance to poke around in the beta yet, but according to the WoW website Monks can wield Fist Weapons, One-Handed Axes, One-Handed Maces, One-Handed Swords, Polearms, and Stave. Granted anything can change in beta, but everywhere I have looked so far has said they can still equip and use 1-handed swords.
Mar 25th 2012 9:51AM There is no NDA for MoP, there was a breakfast topic about just that a few days ago:

Mar 2nd 2012 12:17PM As much as I love my iPad, i would HATE to play WoW on the thing. First of all, they would need to rebuild the entire game to support touch controls as well as keyboard + mouse as I don't see many people carrying around bluetooth accessories everywhere they go with an iPad ... secondly the screen is tiny can you imagine raiding on that thing ... the horror!
Not to mention can you imagine the insanity of downloading patches or x-pacs? Having to submit it to the app store for approval and waiting, then downloading the thing ... my WoW folder at the moment (with addons) is 24 gigs ... that more space than my entire iPad has.
People already have a portable WoW option, laptops computers.
Feb 19th 2012 11:05AM I was a religious studies major back in my university days when I first started playing and was drawn to the Shaman class because of it. I found the lore extremely interesting and I also enjoyed I could call on elements and spirits to help me. It's also the reason why my first two alts were a Druid and a Priest ... and when they opened up Paladins to the Horde I had to have one ... and then at that point I convinced myself that I might as well try everything, but my Shaman has and will always be my first love and my main.
Feb 17th 2012 11:32AM While I think slave mounts as in actually riding a member of the opposite faction wouldn't work, I do think it would be a cool concept if they allowed us to "steal" the other factions mounts. Horde riding Nightsabers and Eleks, Alliance riding Worgs and Raptors ... have it be PVP or PVE scenario awards or something to that affect. I think that would be awesome. "I've killed thousands of Night Elves, destroyed their villages, and even managed to break their beloved mount to my will." That to me would be a better "status symbol" than gear.
Feb 15th 2012 1:18PM "Do you have the loot system check the player's inventory, including anything they may have in their bank?"
I may be mistaken, but I thought they already had something like this in place for certain things. For example, my character in The Insiders already has the dragon mount from 25man Sarth +3D and the bag he drops, so now the system auto roll "pass" on those items for me. I am no computer programer, but I don't understand why it is possible to do that with some items, but not others. Yes, you would still get people needing on certain things they don't want or need hoping to trade, but if this change was done to at least unique equip items, then there is less people rolling on things just for the sake of hoping they can trade it.
Personally, I think all items other than tier tokens should have restrictions - the weapons should be "only two." Why does anyone need 2 pairs of the same boots/belt/bracers/neck or three Souldrinkers? You don't, so something should be done. Yes it will still not solve the tier pieces, after awhile if you can only need tier if you have everything else, hopefully the problem will solve itself.
Feb 9th 2012 5:14PM I'm glad to see that most of the comments here are saying exactly what I feel, that it really isn't a big deal. It is still the largest MMO by a long margin. I mean wasn't Blizzard quoted when WoW was first released saying they were expecting 300-500K subscribers and they wondered if they could even keep that many? WoW is a runaway hit and even a loss of 2 million players from Wrath isn't making a dent. When the game has less subscribers than it did during it's first two years, then I will start to worry.
Feb 9th 2012 1:36PM Personally I think it would do the opposite. I love playing alts right now, but doing the same things over and over again aren't fun. I would love the option to pick and choose how and who I get to play and everyone on my account benefits from it. As someone who has at least one of everything so he can switch to what is needed for the raid/dungeon for the night, it would be awesome to display the fact that I 'accomplished' it.
For example, my main (Shaman) has never gotten to kill many end bosses in raids because my guild at the time needed someone to tank (my Druid or DK get drafted). So in order to get credit for these on my main I have to find another group. But why exactly, I killed them, I was there. With account bound achievements, I can switch around as needed to help down content, and I still get 'full' credit.
