Mar 22nd 2012 6:49AM In reply to the shockadin as a ranged caster, it is never going to be a ranged caster, unless they failed to carry over the old denounce proc, similar to Art of War. Shockadin is meant to be melee, esp since the implementation of of holy power, crusader strikes mixed in to generate, keep up inq, likely SoT or SoRight. At the outstart of cata I managed to get about 4k out of it in my entry heroic gear, and I prolly could have gotten more, the playstyle just felt... off, to me at least.

Mar 18th 2012 7:30PM Indeed, DW hit penalty springs from pen&paper tabletop gaming, wow took away the main-hand penalty that these games had, so you are already better off. Also, I'm not sure where you get this 1/3 business on MH vs OH hit, far as I knew, off-hand hit has always been same as spell hit.

Furthermore, expertise still valuable past the 7.5 cap. What I can see is tank accessories in mop not having a second primary stat (STR/AGI) and instead having combos of mastery/expertise/dodge. For the plate-wearers, you can reforge to parry. Then, the plate tank gear has parry and minimal dodge, while leather tank has dodge. Then, you have one set of tanking accessories, and we don't have a bunch of +parry that druids can't use.

As for mine, I RP'd a draenie male mage named Aliim, he became an enchanter/Tailor as part of his RP ways, not getting into story here, but all my other names in various games sprang from that. Aliimara, Miindara, Kaliid, just to name a few.

Feb 25th 2012 11:28AM Proper tanks will be comparing themselves on the "mitigation meter" Active mitigation's purpose is to keep tanks actually wanting to tank by not trivializing the role. A surprising number of people tank, have the gear, and are good at it. The biggest reason your queue times are SO high as a DPS is that the LFD tool means you rarely see someone again, therefore don't care how you treat others. Annoying DPS that "gogogo" and pull when tanks aren't above 80% and heals are out of mana are what causes tanks not to queue, not a lack of players able to do the role.
TL;DR Active Mitigation turns dungeons back into gameplay and away from "ok, time to hope 3 DPS and a healer actually want to cooperate just to get some points that don't get me anything I need anymore."

Feb 21st 2012 8:53PM 1) yes (randomly choose people's accts, Blizz sends max-lvl toons in-game mail, only allow for authenticators, telling them to visit battlenet to view free transfer options. Close out servers when they drop below threshold x, automatically moving toons if destination not pre-chosen by player.)

3) cake auctionator in just like they did Omen, problem solved.
4) easily gamed, as in CoH with infamy, looking as setting up my own version online soonish anyway, as a way to get buyers and sellers together.
5) Blizzard has broken from their "never say never" on this specifically. Reason being, the second it becomes allowed, players(and blizz) MUST report real-money gains to the IRS, as once blizz sets a price for gold, in-game gold BECOMES real-world currency. That means taxable on both player and corporate side. Implement Eve's Plex system, only non-taxable way to do it.
