Mists of Pandaria Beta: Vendor filters make sorting items easier {WoW}

Mar 29th 2012 1:47PM Ouch :P. Could still do with a few little tweeks nonetheless though ;)

Mists of Pandaria Beta: Vendor filters make sorting items easier {WoW}

Mar 29th 2012 9:57AM Whilst they are at it... some better AH filters/options would be more than welcome ;).

Arcane Brilliance: Mage glyphs in Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

Mar 24th 2012 5:21PM I would hazard a guess about the mana gems giving mp5 (rather than instant mana).
It may perhaps link in with arcane mastery (full mana = more damage). If you hit the gem just before a high dps burst you will be gaining mana back WHILST casting (and as such keeping you mana more full throughout).
As opposed to burning mana, having an emptier (average over time) mana pool and then having to hit the gem at the end... Could probably have written that clearer but am sure some boffins out there can figure out what am getting at.

The Queue: Hat Trick {WoW}

Mar 9th 2012 11:18AM "My theory is that you would still log in to server A but share the same virtual space with people from realms B and C. "

Likely then the character cap per server would need to increase to 20. As there would inevitably be people who may have characters already on 2 (or 3) of the servers being merged together and it would be rather annoying to have to move them elsewhere or anything.

Perhaps Blizzard would consider setting it so that you could have 10 characters per faction on a server (say if you have 7 characters on 1 server and 5 on another; when the servers merge you can then move the 5 or 7 or some of them to be on different factions and avoid having to sort out 12 toons all together etc)

The case for cross-faction Real ID raiding {WoW}

Feb 29th 2012 4:35AM This could also be an excuse to do cross-faction LFR... although to prevent bickering and abuse in the raid channel would need some sort of disguise/illusion spell so that everybody appears to be the same faction ;)

The case for cross-faction Real ID raiding {WoW}

Feb 29th 2012 4:34AM It's been said before that through Cataclysm there is an "uneasy truce between the Horde and Alliance".
Surely then the idea of a cross-faction raid against Deathwing to help overcome the problems of the world could "technically" be seen as part of the storyline and the truce ;)?

Failing that... how about if when you invite a Real-ID friend of another faction they are afflicted by a disguise such as those in Well of Eternity etc so you "blend in".

To stop people on the same server just exploiting it as a way to communicate and make server raids though; perhaps set it so you can only make a cross faction raid with someone from a different realm (point being to keep factions separate on individual realms rather than inter-realm)

The last gasp of 25-man raiding {WoW}

Feb 24th 2012 4:28PM Aye that could also work; or even just 10 man and 20 man :P why the random extra 5 ;)?

The last gasp of 25-man raiding {WoW}

Feb 24th 2012 3:26PM Removed 25 man groups and make 3 groups: 10man, 15man, 20man.
10 man = 2 pieces of loot per boss
15 man = 3 pieces of loot per boss
20 man = 4 pieces of loot per boss

Saves trying to make 25 man groups and also means if you currently have a 25 man group with people not showing up... 20 man is fine without needing to find more people.

15 man would mean there is a place in between 10 and 20 so that if people don't turn up you aren't forced to stop raiding completely

Breakfast Topic: What do you think about the current Raid Finder loot rules? {WoW}

Feb 24th 2012 1:51PM Yup only for 1 spec.
As I said above; Blizzard made LFR so that people who may not otherwise get a chance to raid will have a chance to see some end game content NOT to boost up people offspecs.
You can roll on a token and use it for your main spec and experience the content as intended.

DW classes; prioritise people who don't have a copy of the item before giving someone their 2nd.

In your example; let the paladin go to DS10/25 in his ret gear then with the guild and collect off spec bits the main healers don't need. Anyways if he is in a raiding guild and has a set of gear all 384+ then LFR isn't (technically) intended to be a quick gear boost because he feels like changing his mind.
Through just using the dungeons, BH and VP gear (perhaps also crafted bits depending how much he feels like paying out or if the gbank has extra bits) he would easily be geared up to heal in DS10 without needing to take LFR gear.
