Mar 20th 2012 11:30AM I'm conflicted on how I feel about not having any information on it. It's a huge issue for alot of people. That said, isn't that a big thing WoW Insider? Getting answers to questions that affects everyone? Some of the stuff that is asked seems pretty silly. But that's just personal preference I guess.
Either way, it'd be nice to know what's in the oven because it would allow us to start planning.
I had the idea they should take all the inactive accounts and shove them into dead realms. Move active people to active realms. Reward the people that are sticking around through the tough times of the end of the expansion. Anyone else have a guess of 6 more months of DS?
Mar 20th 2012 11:06AM Q4tQ: Did Blizzard even remotely address the realms with dwindling populations or servers that are EXTREMELY unbalanced?
We're really being killed in progression because we cannot recruit fast enough to replace the burnouts.
I know many people will be coming back. But to what? the top 5 guilds on our server all xferred off already.
Mar 12th 2012 3:12PM Guild Name: We Might Be Raiders
Server/Region: Altar of Storms / EST
Guild Website: http://we-might-be-raiders.wowstead.com
of Altar of Storms is a "semi-casual" guild that still focuses on progression with the time we do spend raiding. We have a great mix of personalities from all different types of backgrounds. IT guys, gear heads, members of the military, all dedicated to the collective effort of the team.
Wednesday/Monday @ 10PM Server (EST). Invites go out 15 minutes prior so be ready. We stop raiding around 1AM EST but can end earlier depending on needs of our raiders.
We also encourage alt toons as we are clearing DS in one night and then working on a 2nd run with alts on Monday. So if you have an army of 85's, this is the place for you.
Mar 12th 2012 10:17AM You already burnt out once. You have to have some pretty thick skin to run a guild. On top of that, you're level of dedication needs to be above the rest. At least at the very beginning. Is it really a shock that when you left people vanished?
When we started, I set a deadline of when I wanted a regular run established. Had I not made it, I would have given up. It took tons of time. It also took up ALL of my game time. I wasn't able to play alts or just log in to mess around for fun. I spent the entire online time dealing with guild business.
Someone mentioned older content. That could be a plus at this point. People looking for good solid guilds are getting desperate too. With lack of leadership puts the guilds that do have established leaders in high demand.
Feb 27th 2012 3:28PM In the age of 10mans, offspecs are essential. Being flexible and ready to play any spec you're asked to makes a huge difference. Chances are if you're really going to be willing to sit out on a progression kill because you don't want to do DPS Spec A over DPS Spec B, you shouldn't be doing progression.
Feb 27th 2012 1:24PM All I can say for the pure DPS that don't get to play their preferred spec.....Boo hoo. So you finally have fights where your output isn't king? Thank god. Pures are usually the worst at tunnel-visioning on long fights.
Keep the fights coming where hunters kite and rogues soak.
Feb 27th 2012 1:21PM All I can say is.......booo hooo. So you have to do something else that isn't just mashing buttons.
Healers, Tanks, and hybrids have made sacrifices every tier for the sake of the raid. It's nice to have pures being more team players than they're used to. Keep it coming.
