Aug 11th 2009 2:43PM Well stated.
If you simply changed the word "censorship" to "culture sensitive changes", the author would show more knowledge of the subject instead of demonstrating ignorance or outright disrespect for other nationalities, cultures and values.
Apr 29th 2009 5:18PM Hmm... You'll pay real money for game food, schedule time to play, update your rig and game zone, but you won't pay a few dollars a month for a feature that keeps your add-ons up to date, every time, all the time...
I'll gladly pay for the service. I seldom think about if my add-ons are current, one-click install and forget about it. Plus it throws a few "bonuses" to developers who donate their time enhancing the game.
Apr 22nd 2009 3:11PM Why no coverage of the WG vehicle issues plaguing alliance?
Mar 18th 2009 6:12PM Amen.
Tired of DE'ing plate after plate item while mail, leather and clother wearers bite their tongue and all the DK's and paladins already have theirs.
Nov 5th 2008 3:45PM No, it's not the end... for most.
For a few, the "don't sleep, raid until you've defeated every boss" hard-core guilds, they will quickly wrap things up and fill their time with other pursuits. But this is a small portion of the overall WOW user community.
It's been fun rushing through Hyjal, BT and a bit of Sunwell (only so many days in the week) a bit more casually than before.
Because our guild is primarily casual, we raid with an alliance of guilds. And the changes have made it much easier for players wanting to move to the next level to participate vs only the most obsessed committed players.
Nov 3rd 2008 12:57PM As a PVE raider, I tried the full dispersion spec once, and hated it for BT. The mana regen gained simply wasn't enough to overcome the drain of casting with a lot of haste in my setup. Tank threat is so high now I cannot pull agro even if I'm topping the DPS charts. Went back to the traditional 14/47 and am very happy with my contribution to the raid.

Oct 2nd 2008 10:44AM I think you are correct in your last statement that despite the constant "balancing" of PVE vs PVP in the game, the lure and strategy that motivates players are very different.
Thinking just of doing the dailies on a PVP server shows how differently players view the world:
One group tries to work as efficiently as possible to complete the required quests, either solo or in groups with the objective to gain resources to continue play.
Another tries to inflict as much pain as possible on the opposition while making some attempt to gather nearby resources, but it's crushing opponents without remorse that motivates them.
Different strategies, different motivations. Apparently we are not all alike.
Oct 2nd 2008 10:34AM Once again, this is NOT a news site, it's a blog, ie. commentary and personal insights on issues related to WOW.
Sep 18th 2008 6:50PM On Deathwing, our guild is part of the Costa Alliance. We do just fine with an alliance chat channel and message boards.
