Dec 12th 2010 11:42AM I hate to say this but, really what the heck is up with the comments? These are not official Apple products, they have just been 'dipped' (refitted into bodies) of glittering shiny piece of valuable metal and laced with minerals made in the earth (or in a lab) to just sell to a small percentage of individuals who classify as modern day Nouveau riche. The question is... does Apple's warranty cover any faults that these 'artist' may have brought to the device? Probably not, so when these things brick... at least you have a valuable brick.
Really though, its one thing to see people bash a product because it carries an Apple on it and have people defend said product (as ridiculous as it is). But really? Are you guys going to get all defensive about someone pointing out how ridiculous these things are when there are people starving and trying to make ends meet? Being laid off is not the same as being fired - there are people out there that did their jobs and did them well, but were let go nonetheless. It is the season for compassion. If these items of 'gilt' donated large sums to charity maybe it would be 'right' etc to come to their defense. But really, these things are just bricks of glitter for bragging rights. Bits of glitter that are not manufactured here, just like Apple products just without the applecare.
So frankly, I can see why sane individuals get annoyed with these extravagance posts. Yet really we all know these devices cost a lot less to manufacture than what they sell for to begin with. Just don't defend the 'rich' who are idiotic enough to buy this stuff when its going to be outdated by the first quarter of next year.
Nov 23rd 2010 4:54PM ... My addiction to pets is overriding the importance of being social and maintaining a well balanced meal following the food pyramid that has legumes in it...delicious legumes... oh so delicious... especially when they are bbq'ed baked...
Nov 23rd 2010 3:11PM Being my guilds Collector of achievements and pets... yes I must enter this... I must because I have a horrible psychological condition bordering close to real life 'Hoarder' but in the virtual sense...
Oct 14th 2010 2:21AM Biggest issue is the fps frame rate drop on Mac OSX users computers. No one is spared it seems no matter what model of mac or video card, the game is practically broken when in Dalaran, or certain areas of old world and instances.
May 12th 2010 4:11PM Oh and for your information Steam began servicing the public in 2002, where as our much loved "App Store" started servicing in 2008.
May 12th 2010 4:05PM Seriously what? Look, we need to chill on the fanboy crap especially since we Mac users generally get shafted in the whole game department unless we are talking about the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad. And frankly Steam has been around for awhile, its hardly revolutionary design, or market idea, but the fact that you buy a game once and you can play it on either Windows or Mac is a nice touch. It is hardly an 'app store' model, it retains its look to the Windows port of the client. I think you need to get off your high horse and enjoy what the service offers instead of just slapping the 'theft' sticker to it bud.
May 12th 2010 3:55PM Initially you have to be online to download and install the game. But you can start steam up in offline mode to play games you have already purchased and installed. Now to just figure out how to change the resolution for World of Goo for the mac, I'm used to Windows side of things when it comes to Steam, just now I have no clue where Steam for Mac stores the game files.
Apr 15th 2010 7:42PM Free star pony away! Ok, its kind of funny to log in only a few moments ago and see them all over the place... But yes they do look nice... and if I don't win I may just have to bite the bullet buy it down the road - but it would be nice to get two and give it to my girlfriend. I KNOW! Shocking, that we have relationships.
Mar 16th 2010 6:12PM I'm curious if these will work on a Mac. Would love to use these while I'm traveling across the country - instead of just on my home PC.
Aug 27th 2009 3:07PM ... I just realized something about the Worgen... since they have the ability to switch forms... they are probably the first characters in an MMORPG that embody true Furries. By day they are human, but by night they yiff...
