Jul 3rd 2007 2:49PM I (70 MM hunter, Glass Cannon) run with a group regularly and our tank is a Pally. He's actually the best tank I've ever run with. We don't cc whatsoever and our high dps burns down mobs so fast. We give him a couple of seconds and generally cannot pull aggro (unless we decide to burn especially hard).
We cut through regular 5mans in 30-60 mins depending on the instance. No cc, high dps = fast easy runs.
We are now ready for Heroics but I'm not sure how aoe pally tanking can do in there. Any thoughts? He's got pretty damn good gear, 5man blues and 2 or 3 epics.
Jun 27th 2007 12:44PM Ran Bot and Mech last night, Myself a MM hunter, a BOOMkin and a pro Pally tank. (also had a scrub rogue and healer who were largely insignificant.)
We cut through both instances in little over an hour. The Boomkin and I were neck and neck on damage the entire time and ended our damage to within .02% of each other. It was a damage competition and we couldn't pull aggro from the tank at all. BOOMkin was opening up with 5k crits everytime. 4 mob pulls were dead in

NPR completely doesn't understand video games.
That job would pretty much blow chunks.
May 8th 2007 2:45PM Last night I was questing on some shadow caster mobs and I accidently pulled like 4 or five of them and was getting blasted by shadowbolts when I see them getting resisted. I'm like "I don't have any shadow resist??" I look up and see that I got a Gift of the Wild on my pet and me from who knows where. We then proceeded to wtfpwn those puny 5 mobs.
I made a priest alt a while back and when I'm on her, I buff EVERYONE I see because on my hunter I love it when I get buffed randomly. I even buff 70's if they dont already have PW:F.
Sep 8th 2006 1:13PM "All that said, I personally think that the NBA, from a business perspective, is stupid for letting our players play at all... We absorb all the risk and we have gained little if anything from it."
While this is somewhat true for your star players like Pau Gasol, I feel these international competitions are a great for the younger international players on a team. The competition in these leagues is FAR better than the NBDL or the Vegas Summer leagues. It would be very beneficial to let your younger international players play in the during the summers for practice, especially after they have played in the NBA.
For example, Leandro Barbosa is a extremely good talent but he has a lot to learn. What would be better for him to learn about the game than playing against Dwyane Wade, Manu Ginobili and the other stars of the league?
While it is a bad risk for those max-contract caliber players but it is a very useful training league for your younger players. Too bad young American players don't get that luxury.
