Apr 26th 2007 4:23PM I was reported for bieng a bot while farming Air elementals on the platue (spelling?).
Only horde on it and alliance swarming all over the place - they all flaged and insulted me over and over - i ignored them and continued my beating them to mobs with my insta-casts (mage). After about 30 min a whisper from a GM, asking if i was there
talked to him for a bit and found out the "un named players" in the area had reported me.. i ask in guild if anyone cared to come help me kill off the 10 or so flaged alliance.. needless to say they all died more then once.
was funny - GM whispered after the battle and said "Well i guess you are not a bot after all" lol
Apr 25th 2007 2:42PM Easy to explain:
Alliance - HUGE populations, guilds numbering in the 100's not uncommon. Making 40 man raids easier to form.
Horde - low populations, harder times forming raid groups to run, learn with
Alliance - huge populations - guids falling apart due to the lowered raid requirements, relearning how to run with smaller groups.
Horde - lower populations - smaller guilds used to working with less players - able to do 25 raids without having the guilds burst apart due to raid seats.
Feb 22nd 2007 5:23PM raiding Maruadon (spelling?) for giggles at 60 with 10 people.. before that - i didn't even know it was a raid zone.
Feb 22nd 2007 11:40AM @4 i wish warlocks would lose control of their demons when they get CC'd... rogue demons on the Bg's would be great ;)
Feb 21st 2007 1:23PM Common, people. Clear the way - pull back farther then normal, and kill the casters first. not all the mobs have fear/horror - target them first. Make sure you have room to work.
I'd bet 80% of party wipes due to this is from people trying to skip mobs to move faster.
We've wiped twice, first one we were not ready for, second one we were getting cocky. We learned our lesson fast, and haven't wiped due to this since.
Feb 21st 2007 11:05AM I started alliance, did alot of battle grounds in guild groups and solo on my rogue.
I switched to horde, did alot of battle grounds in guild groups and solo on my mage.
The reason you see more pride in Horde then Alliance? - numbers. Horde seems like it's outnumbered vastly. This forces the horde players to group with just about all members in their level range at some point or another. On alliance - unless it was a guild group, i'd hardly ever run with most.
So most Horde members have run with, or know the others on the horde side.
Can alliance say the same thing? I dout it - i know my old main couldn't name off 1/100th the alliance members in his bg (server - pre cross sever bg's).
When you've leveled and ran with just about everyone, and you run into that person again later on - you check them out talk about old times and it builds a community - which results in "pride". I'm happy when i see someone i ran with show up in town with a new set of armor on they just won.. I can't say the same on my Alliance toon.. most of the time i wouldn't have even noticed them.
Feb 21st 2007 9:54AM AoE = Area of Effect? didn't see this one there
Feb 20th 2007 4:58PM only if i were allowed to kill the allaince members of my "team"!
Horde first, Scryers second - die allaince pond scum!!
Feb 20th 2007 9:59AM Not sure i agree with people who say "Paladins can't be evil".
All a paladin is "holy warrior" for their chosen god - who happens to grant them abilities. Doesn't matter if the god is evil, nuetral or good. - if they decide they need warriors to fight in their name - no reason they can't be granted the powers to fight in their name...common undead paladins...
