May 12th 2009 7:38AM Blizzard said way back, I believe when the run up to TBC was on, and the alliance race hadn't been announced yet, that it was highly unlikely they'd ever implement a non-biped race such as Nerubians or Naga as a playable race. There were too many potential issues it would cause.
Apr 13th 2009 9:25AM It's hilarious how people think they can disagree with GC's statement and actually have a leg to stand on.
It doesn't matter what anecdotal arguement you try to make, a Blizzard developer said that subscribers are still increasing, that trumps everything you have to say unless you have evidence to the contrary.
FYI, this BS about how "WoW has reached it peak" and "I predict it'll start to decline soon" was thrown around at the release of TBC too. WoW really declined since then huh?
Mar 30th 2009 5:22AM I'm glad they're focusing on a character who's already been added to the game and players actually care about rather than shoehorning in their unimaginative cookie cutter anime/manga archetype templates, AHEM, I mean " excellent manga characters" into the existing game, acting like they are important and expecting players to care.
Feb 28th 2009 6:22AM It's a testing server. Blizz want the content tested. They dictate the rules, they dictate how everything goes down. If they feel like certain guilds can get the job done, then that's their perogative.
Sounds to me like you are just complaining that you don't get to practice the content before it goes live.
Blizz don't give a shit. The PTR is not a practice server.
The live realms are still available to you, go play on them if you don't like the special treatment. Ulduar will be there soon enough.
Feb 21st 2009 1:14PM If you were a Paladin in a raid, you were a healer.
If you were a Priest in a raid, you were a healer.
If you were a Druid in a raid, you were a healer.
If you were a Shaman in a raid, you were a healer.
Of course, some guilds would take "off-specs" (back then an off-spec for these classes was anything that wasn't healing spec) now and again. These were novelties, and only usually happened when the guild had the raid on farm.
I don't deny that some aspects of classic were good, and may be sorely missed, but let's face it: TBC made a bunch of very welcome improvements and I think a lot of people forget just how much the game changed and take these things for granted.
Feb 18th 2009 9:22AM LOL @ "Why do we put up with them".
What do you suppose we do? Impose sanctions? All our stuff comes from China these days, especially technology. Invade them? Oops, we're all dead. China is not Iraq or Afghanistan, we can't push them around so easily.
Feb 17th 2009 9:48AM If that's the case, then the VW needs major buffs. Because right now it most certainly isn't an excellent tank. The VW is awful.
Feb 16th 2009 6:31PM @ Michael
Do your research. The Void tanking Illidan was due to a bug introduced with the 3.0 patch. It was quickly fixed.
Feb 15th 2009 8:05AM This is something extremely personal to the people involved.
TBH, fuck what you, me or anyone else thinks.
Feb 15th 2009 7:41AM Right. The voidwalker is actually a horrible tank in any "normal" situation, very few warlocks actually use it, it doesn't have the threat generation. I hope this doesn't lead to the VW getting nerfed, because it's been in need of a buff for a while now.
